Transitioning from a Developer to an IPP... Highlighting an engaging podcast episode I listened to this week from Gerard Reid and Laurent Segalen, The Redefining Energy Podcast. They hosted Intersect CEO, Sheldon Kimber and covered the transition from a developer to an IPP. They accurately highlighted the importance of securing the long-term availability of critical components, like inverters, transformers, and batteries. In short, stressing how supply chain efficiency is vital for developers transitioning into IPPs. As supply shortages and delays become more common, from what now seems to be about 3-5 years, the companies that plan early and lock in their supply chains will lead the way in the BESS space.
