WHAT IS A CREDIBLE LENGTH OF TIME TO STAY AT AN EMPLOYER? In my early days at IPS, I was desperate to get to 5 years with the business and recruiting in my markets, as I felt this would show me as a credible person for individuals working within Insurance to talk to. I then wanted to be more senior and get to 10 years. The next 16 years…absolutely no idea where that has gone. Having kids, playing less sport, buying less expensive wine and then coaching kids cricket I guess…. We clearly have a world where individuals are more focused on what they can learn by staying at that employer, rather than wanting to be seen as credible by getting to a certain level of tenure… …but what do you see as a credible length of time to be at an employer? Is this even a thing anymore??? #ipsgroup #insurancerecruitment #londoninsurancemarket

Manoj faced tough times after making a big choice. He fell down many times, had to start over, but he kept going. Eventually, all his hard work paid off—he became an IPS officer. This reminds us of something Mr. Tata once said: 'I don't focus on making the perfect choice. I make a choice and then work hard to make it right.' It's just like what MSD said: 'No choice is always right. You have to work on it.' Manoj's story teaches us that problems aren't the end. It's not just about making the decision; it's about working hard to make it the right one. Let's take on challenges, because that's how we achieve success. Driven to serve through creativity and personal mastery | Agency Leader-Producer at AIA Philippines and Account Officer at Medicard | Passionate About Writing, Digital Design, Personal Finance, and Solar
Sometimes, I question my greatness. I second-guess myself and feel unworthy, and then I read something about collecting evidences at times when I peak while others validate that I am great. That happened today, hence the collage. Unwavering gratitude to all of those who went and listened to my talk in today's Business Opportunity Preview (BOP), and to all the Agency Leaders and Life Planners who rallied the attendance for this virtual event. We peaked at 106 (?) in the Zoom room, my largest audience yet for the BOP in my 3-year life insurance career. That is 106 people more than my very first face-to-face BOP in Makati sometime in 2022, wherein not one person showed up to attend except for my team. A confession: that really hurt me so much. Of course there were special circumstances involved like it was still the pandemic and people refrained from going outside to gather; but still, the fact remains that that is where my unworthiness issue in speaking for these events started. To be honest, my best guess for the attendance today was mere 20. But I am at awe that it was five times more. Nonetheless, thank you Lord for the 106 people who showed up today. I am great, but you are The Greatest! Use me further as an instrument to spread this mission I hold so dearly. 🙏 #BusinessOpportunityPreview #AIAPhilippines #PhilamLife #Recruitment

I love boasting about my agents! BUT, before being a seasoned agent, you must be a new one. So, if you're wanting someone who helps prevent: 📅 Missed deadlines 📝 Incomplete documentation 📞 Miscommunication 🖊️ Errors in contract details 🛑 Easily overlooked contingencies ... That's what I'm here for! In a nutshell, TCs (Transaction Coordinators, which is what I am!) save realtors an average of 10-20 hours per transaction by handling administrative tasks, allowing real estate agents to focus more on client interactions and closing deals. If you're an agent of mine, know that I LOVE working with you! If you want a TC, hey 👋 Let's grab coffee! #nolimitstransactionmanagement #transactioncoordinator #tclife #denverrealestate

I was laid off from Aetna 11 years ago today after 19 years. I was sad and mad and stressed all at the same time. But I was blessed more than I knew with an amazing husband, caring daughters, a prayerful family and supportive friends. Man, a lot has happened since then. I do divide my memories into "before and after." Good jobs, bad jobs and jobs that don't even make a blip or the resume. I seriously took to heart the statement, "bloom where you are planted." However, when you don't have suitable soil, sustenance or sunshine, it's tough to shine. It was a long and winding road to choosing Vizient, but I am so happy for this chapter! Every step on this journey has been an adventure that allowed me to learn and grow. I have turned my knowledge into a side hustle of being a career coach & mentor, helping others find their next chapter! In addition, I teach a mentorship class through 6 Stones helping people find their full potential. So many blessings that I would not have experienced had I not been laid off. Here are some things I've learned: - Be married to your spouse, not your job. You are just "dating" your job - Always keep an updated resume and LinkedIn profile on the ready. You never know what can change quickly! - Get on LinkedIn. It's more important than you think for jobs, connections, information, etc. - Network, network, network - Check out local network groups, like Southlake Focus Group - Take advantage of outplacement services if offered - Talk to everyone; you never know who knows someone who knows someone - Always go for the interview, even if it's just for the experience (and the stories) - Work as a contractor; you never know where it can lead!! - Work friends can become lifelong friends outside of the "job!" - Take time to help others on their journey - Volunteer in your community - Life is too short to spend in traffic on a sucky commute - It's "just a job." - Rejection is just a redirection to the right path - Keep faith in God's timing! This post by Mel Robbins sums it up so well. "Whatever chapter of your life you're in, be in it." Thanks to all my friends and family who are part of my journey to my current chapter! If you find yourself in a similar situation, I am happy to help you on your journey to your next chapter!

I’m big on relationships. [pictured, my best friend & I at his wedding after my speech] I mean, I AM in recruitment… Relationships do a lot for us as humans, but also as professionals. As humans: —Build us up —Give us community —Safe place / trusted folks —Allow us to gain insight / opinion As professionals: —Grow us —Teach us, hands on —Leverage multiple / different points of view —Gives us an opportunity to collaborate, build, and learn ——— I’m pretty lucky, and all of us are, here at USI Insurance Services, to be apart of a culture that nurtures and values relationships. If it wasn’t for the relationships I’ve had access to here, I sure wouldn’t be the professional, or person, I am today. Can you say the same about your org? #USIRecruitment #Relationships
