Not me putting the ‘fun’ in funemployment... When you’re between jobs and you’ve dedicated weeks and weeks to job applications, networking, outreach, follow up, and company research, it can really feel like looking for work has become your full time work, plus some—because is your job really done until you get a job? Everyone deserves a break once in a while, especially if that break happens to coincide with a mid week day game at Coors Field. ⚾️🧢 What does your ideal break look like? #funemployment #coorsfield #baseball #jobsearch

Start your engines and welcome to the F1 Grand Prix of the US Job Market, where the race for employment is more thrilling than a last-lap overtake at Monaco! In pole position, we have the 'F1 Students Speedsters'! Watch them zip around the track of academia, armed with their international perspectives and multi-lingual skills. But wait, there's a twist in the course – navigating the complex chicane of visa regulations and work permits! Revving up beside them are the 'F1-OPT Mavericks'. They're the ones with extra nitro in their tanks, squeezing every ounce of practical training from their OPT (Optional Practical Training) period. They're quick, they're adaptable, and they're racing against the clock to secure that all-important H1-B sponsorship. Tick tock, folks! ⏳🚀 Don't overlook the 'Local Bachelor and Master Speed Demons' in the next lane. These homegrown talents know the track inside out, often favored by hiring managers for their ready-to-go status – no complex immigration turns here! They've got the local lingo down and are often seen taking the inside track straight from college to career. And overseeing this high-octane race? The 'Hiring Manager Pit Crew Chiefs'. With their keen eyes and strategic minds, they're the ones deciding who gets the fresh tires of opportunity and who's due for a pit stop in skill development. They're waving the flags of job offers, internships, and networking opportunities, keeping an eye out for that perfect blend of skill, speed, and adaptability. So, grab your pit lane passes, folks! Whether you're an F1 student navigating the hairpins, an OPT driver in the fast lane, a local grad cruising on home advantage, or a hiring manager calling the shots, it's sure to be a race to remember in the job market Grand Prix! #jobmarkettrends #career #usjobseekers #f1students #opt #layoffs #layoffs2023 Disclaimer: All metaphors are in good fun – the real job market race may include fewer checkered flags and more cover letters. 😉

Motorsports race engineer | Making driving faster easier, not complex | Podcast host | Founder of Your Data Driven
Imagine your hiring. You've a small race team with (rightly) demanding drivers (and their family.) What is your biggest fear? Is it taking someone on who doesn't understand tyre performance? Are you worried they won't get the setup impact of a front wing or bar change? Or... is it something else? Here is some great advice from Scott Mansell on what motorsports hiring managers are looking for, as part of his new recruitment platform. Well worth a watch.

Couldn't be more excited to launch our new resource Baseball Connect, our MLB Job Page. Getting a job in professional Baseball is hard enough; so finding that job shouldn't be as difficult as it is either. With 30 organizations and more if you count MLB, ABCA, and other opportunities in the game; keeping track of job postings and what roles are being offered by who can be incredibly taxing/confusing. We created this one-stop shop for anyone in the baseball industry or who wants to get into the industry, to use to see all the up-to-date and relevant positions that teams post. Filter for a specific organization, apply for the latest jobs, and don't need to worry about jobs that don't apply for what you're actually trying to pursue in your career. Check out the job board at https://lnkd.in/g-Z9Jmmi
Attention Baseball Connect fans! We have a very exciting announcement, as we are proud to share the launch of our newest tool to help bring you closer to the game we all love, which is our new Baseball Jobs Page which you can find at https://lnkd.in/gaRA4w_K We have been working hard to make our job page the most friendly, helpful and up-to-date resource for you to find your next opportunity in the professional Baseball industry! Our newly updated jobs page now aggregates positions only related to Baseball Operations, Player Development, Scouting and Analytics; and filters out all the jobs that don't relate to true Baseball opportunities in order to help make your search more streamlined. You can also filter our Job Page for specific organizations, and the date each job was posted will be visible as well so you can ensure you are applying for positions that are new/currently available. As we get later into the Baseball season; typically around the month of September; MLB organizations will begin posting internships and full-time opportunities for the upcoming 2025 season. Right now is the time to get your resume, CV, work experiences and Fall Internships in order to help yourself stand out and be ready to apply for that MLB job when the opportunity gets posted! We are confident that you'll find our new MLB Job Page an incredibly helpful resource in your search for that Baseball dream job; and we are so grateful for all of you for continuing to support us here at Baseball Connect. Happy job searching, and let us know in the comments what you think of the new job page!
