Want to ensure the best possible experience for your members? Then pay attention to what you are hiring for! As Rishan Kuruppu explains, clubs must hire for VALUES. Someone who is hospitality and service minded and can consistently provide value is more important than a “name”. Here are some things you may want to ask yourself next time you are hiring for a tennis director or tennis professional: Is this person collaborative? Can this person create a team of pros with high values? Can this person deliver value on court and off court? Can this person create a great experience for our members? Stay focused on what truly matters and don’t be blinded by a flashy playing background ;) www.vidatennispodcast.com #vidatennispodcast #tennis #tenniscoach #tennisdirector #clubmanagement

Any parents with hockey kids on here... a little reminder to make sure to stretch your son or daughter. Should be skating in the summer camp group they will be playing in next September.. not the age group they are in now. Most camps stick the kids in their age group BUT your child needs to practice with the older kids they will be competing with next month. Is your business sales reps dealing with the existing customers / industry sandbox they're comfortable with or stretching themselves with new clients? #salescoach #jobsiteworkers #recruiting #newbusiness

I help businesses deliver a touchless customer experience that drives revenue growth, reduces the cost to serve and effortlessly scales with increasing demand.
My dad played beach volleyball throughout college, and his favorite part was the spike. He had some amazing stories about spiking the ball, like the time he hit someone who was walking onto the court with a bunch of food from the snack bar. Although I don't play volleyball, I love the "spike" I experience during discovery sessions with customers. Just last week, at the end of a call, an executive candidly told me, "we hear from our customers that we are very difficult to do business with." It was at the 58-minute mark of the one-hour call, but it was clearly a "spike." So, how do we get to those spikes? We first need to bump and set the ball. 𝗕𝘂𝗺𝗽 → 𝗦𝗲𝘁 → 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 → 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱-𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗺𝗽: Every discovery meeting, whether good or bad, addresses problems. It's a given. If you're not doing this, please stop reading this post immediately. 𝗦𝗲𝘁: The key is what you do with those problems—the setup. It involves uncovering the consequences of those problems: - What is it costing your company? - What isn't getting accomplished because of these problems? It's about taking those problems and connecting the dots for the prospect. It's not just that they have a lead conversion problem; it directly affects potential sales. The key is taking those problems, teasing out the implications, and doing it in real-time in front of the prospect. 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗲: Once you have set up those implications, you can go in for the spike. This is where you say, "What would happen if you...?" This is where all the hard work pays off. The key is to take those business problems and find a solution. We're not solving a technical challenge, we're solving a problem that is always tied to increasing revenue or reducing the cost to serve customers. So on your next discovery, see how you can be more like a volleyball player, build momentum and bump, set, and spike.
