After wrapping up my first two major event gigs this summer in Australia, The AO and Formula 1 GP, I've had a chance to kick back and reflect on what a crazy journey it's been as a newbie in the industry.
While social media loves to show off the glamorous side of event life, I think it's only fair to give you a peek behind the curtain at some of the challenges!
😴 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 - Yep, it's real! You end up pulling long hours and grinding through back-to-back days, and suddenly, you’re running on pure adrenaline (and the occasional Red Bull... or five!)
🍫 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐭 - Let's just say, convenience often trumps nutrition. You might even find yourself forgetting to eat altogether in the hustle and bustle.
😢 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 - Picture this: you've just had the time of your life, and then... it's over. That's when the post-event blues hit hard, especially when your squad disperses, and reality hits.
Amidst the chaos, there's a reason I’ll be coming back for more! Obviously, there’s the mind-blowing experiences and the sheer joy of being in the thick of the action.
But let's not forget the real MVPs: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞!
Your event crew? They're more than colleagues; they're your ride-or-die event fam. They'll lift you up when the going gets tough and celebrate with you when it's time to pop the champagne.

I am suffering from FOMO because I was at the Heartland Festival in stead - I hope the two events will not collide again next year 🤞🏽😄
