I post roles then within 24 hours, I recieved 100+ Applications Here's the reality behind those numbers ❌️ 45% people lives 1.5 hours away and wanted a remote work (the role is #onsite) ❌️ 24% people are based in other cities ❌️ 21% people have less or more experience than required ❌️ 3% people are from completely different backgrounds ❌️ 6% people have the correct skills. After narrowing down the 6% qualified candidates: ❌️ 2% people already secured jobs and no longer available ✅️ 4% people show interest and looking for a new role. Are you put off from applying to a role when it has a high number of applicants already? 📈 I recently posted a role that had 221 applications in the ATS. I read every single one. Of those applications: 158 did not meet (or did not effectively show that they meet!) the minimum requirements for the role 15 we could not consider due to location 48 were invited to a recruiter screen Moral of the story: Don't worry about the number of applicants on the job posting.
