Railveyor, a portfolio company in RCF Innovation II, released findings along with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited's Goldex Mine, that the fully electric and TrulyAutonomous Railveyor haulage system achieved a 39% reduction in mine-wide emissions compared with diesel trucks. According to Agnico, this is a significant step towards Agnico’s commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. Railveyor leverages #AI and LTE networks to provide #autonomous rail vehicles that increase operational efficiency, reduce operating costs by as much as 75%, and enhance mine safety. Last Friday, MEVCO COO Anthony Bettanin was invited to join an industry panel for a Zero Carbon webinar. The pressing question - "What are the main challenges in getting BEVs* on mine sites?" (Battery Electric Vehicles) The session covered pre-adoption and implementation challenges, emphasising the importance of starting small and scaling up. Some key take outs from the webinar include -  Pre-adoption considerations: ✅ Develop a pre-adoption strategy addressing factors like risk management and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) ✅ Optimise onsite usage, leveraging gravity in operations; - Open cut example - Haulage on down ramps can generate electricity - Underground example - Regenerative braking can fully charge vehicles for shifts ✅ Achieve zero or low energy consumption may be achievable ✅ Plan for changes in capital infrastructure Adoption Strategy: ✅ Start small, start early, and scale up. Happy to announce that Inflection Resources Ltd. and Fleet Space have initiated a 1,800 Km² ANT survey across Inflection’s 100% owned projects in New South Wales. The survey aims to collect large, homogeneous, 3D, subsurface primary data to identify belt-scale architecture including large intrusive bodies and potential cross-arc structures. Cross-arc structures are widely considered important in the Macquarie Arc and in other volcanic arcs elsewhere as they are known to vector fluid flow and often influence the emplacement of large-scale intrusive bodies and mineral systems.
