Today is the day our friends at Marine Conservation Society launch.. The Great British Beach Clean 2024 🙌🏻 An annual event, held on the 3rd week of September, where thousands of beach heroes, all volunteers, roll up their trousers and come together to clean up our beaches across the UK. 🏖️THE FACTS: When? 20 -29th September 2024 Why? -helping to remove litter and microplastics from our coastlines. -contributing to important scientific research by collecting data on the types and amounts of litter found. -raise awareness about the impact of marine pollution, encourage sustainable practices, and protect the UK’s beautiful coastline, beaches and marine life. Today we’re celebrating International Day of Forests! 🌳 This day was instituted in 2012 to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests. At New Chapter, we love Mother Earth and her trees, which is why we’re committed to making a difference every year. In 2023, New Chapter’s carbon offsets supported rainforest conservation projects, helping us prevent releasing carbon emissions via deforestation. What is an “offset”?
