Is bigger always better? In his book Small Giants, Bo Burlingham examines 14 companies that have rejected the pressure of endless growth to focus on more important business goals. These goals include excelling at what they provide, creating healthy workplaces, caring for customers well, serving their communities, and leading exceptional personal lives. This story emerged from a heart-to-heart I had with a family member. During our conversation, it struck me that this person often overlooked their successes, fixating on what wasn’t yet accomplished.
