Experienced Cybersecurity Leader | Deputy & vCISO | DFIR SME| Team Builder| CISSP,GCFA,GPEN,GLEG, | I help companies achieve increased security posture by bridging the gap between technology & business outcomes.
Yesterday marked another successful year for BSidesGVL , and I'm still buzzing from the energy and insights shared throughout the event. As part of the advisory board, I'm incredibly proud of what we accomplished and grateful to everyone who made it possible. The caliber of attendees was truly impressive. Industry leaders, innovative thinkers, and passionate security professionals from various backgrounds came together, creating an environment ripe for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Highlights? Where do I even start? Mike Holcomb's Opening remarks and keynote set the tone for the day by welcoming all and challenging attendees to engage and learn from each other. Lesley Carhart's keynote gave the road map on being a great cyber mentor and (equally important) best practice for being a mentee. Chris Horner brought the OSINT knowledge and how to protect ourselves in the digital world. 🚀Adam Anderson always has a great stage presence and yesterday was no exception. Jennifer Funk & Bailey Marshall had great content and delivered in an informative, engaging way. The sheer amount of knowledge shared was staggering. Whether you were a seasoned CISO or a curious newcomer, there was something valuable for everyone to take away. Huge shoutout to our sponsors, this event would be impossible without their continued support, you all brought your A-game, and it showed. As we close the books on this year's BSidesGVL, I can't help but look forward to what's next. We're already planning for an even bigger and better event next year, with aims to expand our reach, bring in more diverse voices, and delve deeper into the critical issues shaping our industry.

Cybersecurity & Business Continuity Today, we had the first steering group meeting in our cybersecurity project funded by Industriens Fond. Thank you Peter Møllgaard, Pernille Kræmmergaard, Kristian Fischer, and Søren Vammen for your very good feedback and support of our project. With this new project, we aim to increase the level of cybersecurity among Danish small and medium-sized manufacturing companies (SMEs) by identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in the supply chains and subsequently identifying the capabilities necessary to handle these vulnerabilities. This is based on future scenarios for two critical infrastructure areas (defense and IT and communication technology). The results of the project will apply to all companies regardless of their industry. See more at www.cyber-smv.dk. Follow the project here: https://lnkd.in/gGCzMvYG The project is carried out by the following good colleagues: Olivier Schmitt, Ph.D and Vincent Charles Keating from Center for War Studies, University of Southern Denmark, Marco Peressotti, Peter Mayer, Fabrizio Montesi and Narongrit Unwerawattana from Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA), University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Amelie Theussen, Ph.D. from Royal Danish Defence College and Ole Stegmann Mikkelsen, PhD from Institut for Erhverv og Bæredygtighed | SDU. #cybersikreværdikæder #supplychain #cyber #geopolitics #smv

🛡️ Last week, I had the privilege of participating in the conference "Advancing Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Policy in Georgia," organized by PMCG - Policy and Management Consulting Group. The event commenced with a presentation of PMC Research’s "Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience in Georgia: State of Play and Future Prospects" policy paper, authored by Alessandro Lazari and Nana Tabagua. Following this insightful presentation, the second part of the event featured a panel discussion titled "The Imperative of Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience and Global Insights," expertly moderated by Alessandro Lazari, providing a broader international perspective. I was honored to share the panel with esteemed experts: PhD Josefine Kuehnel Albarazi, Shorena Lortkipanidze, Mikheil Golijashvili, Nika Gagnidze. The conference brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from academia, businesses, government, and field experts. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange insights and delve into the latest trends in critical infrastructure security and resilience (CISR) policy.
