Founder @ The Joss District 🌱 Wholistic Family Wellness Center ✨ | Mama Trauma Barbie Pod Host🎙️ Less Trauma < More Mama.
For anyone in the mental health landscape... A must ⬇️ So many of our children today, we are pegging them as having mental health challenges. Correction ⚠️ They have health challenges masking mental health symptoms. There is a difference. We are overlooking the BIGGER picture and many of these kiddos are being misdiagnosed. It is why suicide is now the second leading cause of death in children age 9 to 24 years old (CDC). Our family was on this journey for over six years. It's why I am partnering with some of the nation's best clinicians who specialize in childhood epidemics to build The Joss District, Inc. The larger healthcare system is negligently broke. It's going to take a multipronged approach to dig out and catch up to the unprecented rise in pediatric illnesses caused by modern living. Part of the work is educating parents ✅ Part of the work is educating health providers ✅ Part of the work is educating educators ✅ ✅ Part of the work is re-creating delivery systems and initiating treatment facilities like The Joss District to help kids and families get a WHOListic treatment plan and support structure. If the below training is not an option, feel free to visit Aspire's resource page and your family or organization can learn more or schedule a free training about PANS and PANDAS. ▶️ https://lnkd.in/gdCQxjJi
I'm excited to share I will be traveling to Orlando to present at International OCD Foundation conference in July! I will be presenting as a board member and representative of The Alex Manfull Fund - hoping to ensure no other life will ever again be cut short – or interrupted - by PANS/PANDAS. I will be joined by two young adults - Elise Petronzio and Abby Gauch- who will share their lived experience with the illness - including the healing they have found since accessing treatment and the impact of not having PANS/PANDAS diagnosed at the onset of their symptoms. If you are mental health or medical provider working with children and young adults - please take time to learn about PANS/PANDAS - it could save a life! There is still time to register for this amazing conference! https://lnkd.in/e2ia9xga

When a peacock spreads its tail feathers, they are truly a sight to behold. Their feathers create a large semicircle of radiant, iridescent colors. The “Eyes” located on the peacock’s tail feathers represent those who have “Eyes To See” what God is doing on the earth. God is anointing the Eyes of the Seer so that we may correctly see Him in this season and release His Glory on the earth. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
