Tis the season for "Forced Fun!" Ever since the world went mostly remote, holiday parties have been challenging to say the least. In the heyday of nGen, we had some winners and losers when it came to celebrating together while we were apart. These were some of the winners: • The Props Report: A weekly shoutout from team members to others in the style of a DJ doing dedications. • 5 O'clock Somewhere: A timezone rotating Friday toast to send the week off. (We were in 8 timezones) • nGen Friday: The company would pick up your lunch tab if you posted a photo of you out and about to the team. I seem to have blocked the losers from my mind, but we definitely had some flops. Like empowering the team to give spot bonuses to each other. That was a stinker! So as you either have completed or are preparing for your virtual party, I wish you well. And If you strike gold on an idea, let us know. 🎁

You don't get the chance every day to sit at the same table with such successful people 🙂 Here’s what I learned last night: Success is a mindset game. With the right mindset, you grow. Without it, you don't - Alina Vandenberghe. Ensure your developers talk directly with your clients to ensure your product is successful - Alin Dobra. Great technology alone doesn’t guarantee success. You also need the right marketing and distribution strategies - Jesper Qvist and Loredana Qvist. Think globally, operate locally - Gabriel P.. A top executive with a superstar attitude might decimate an entire team - Octavian Brezoi. Never give up if you know your work is valuable - Costi Neacsu. I do messaging and positioning for SaaS companies. I need to understand how the business operates at all levels to help founders define the right messaging and positioning. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss with such high-caliber individuals, learn about their internal processes, and discover more about their challenges, pains, and strategies. This knowledge helps me improve my work. Thank you, Alexandru Stan and Alina Maria Stan, for this wonderful night 🙂 See you at the Tekpon Awards! P.S. I have nothing but appreciation and respect for Ana-Maria Stanciuc and Cristian Ciulei.
