🤰 Find Your Calm with Box Breathing 🤱 Whether you’re expecting or navigating the postpartum journey, finding moments of calm can be challenging. Everyone tells you to do self-care, but you're not really sure what to do. One simple and effective self-care technique that can reduce stress and anxiety is called Box Breathing. Box breathing is a gentle gateway to mindfulness and meditation. It's great for reducing stress and anxiety. How to Practice Box Breathing: 1. Inhale gently for a slow count of 4. 2. Hold your breath for a slow count of 4. 3. Exhale slowly for a slow count of 4 4. Pause for a slow count of 4 before inhaling again. Repeat this cycle for 2-3 minutes, or until you feel at ease. You can adjust the slow count of 4 in order to feel comfortable—balance is key, not the numbers! During stressful times, we often lose our natural rhythm. Our thoughts scatter, and our heartbeat races. Box breathing helps restore balance to both mind and body. If you're a beginner, you may find it hard to focus.
