The weekly avg. cost of daycare in the U.S. has risen to $284. 74.0 percent of mothers in 2023 with children under 18 are looking for work, or are already in the workforce. I'm reading a lot of these stories lately. Here's another on how employers are stepping up to provide child-care solutions/subsidizations for employees. It is becoming a very valuable benefit to workers trying to balance full-time work with parenting. While employers have raised wages in light of the US labor shortage (mostly with lower-wage and blue-collar jobs), it hasn't been enough for some parents to re-enter the workforce. Childcare is just too expensive and/or sparsely available. In a lot of developed nations, there are government solutions for this problem. In the US, the employers are taking matters into their own hands.
