From the spectacular fireworks lighting up the skies to unique events like helicopter rides and dinner cruises, our state is brimming with freedom festivities. In observance of Independence Day, the Office of the Chief Information Officer will be closed Thursday, 4th of July. At the State of Nevada Office of The Chief Information Officer, we are committed to enhancing public service through innovation and technology. Join in the celebrations and look on how far we've come and the incredible advancements we've made in connecting and protecting our communities. Events to Explore: Lake Tahoe: Experience fireworks from the iconic M.S. Dixie II 4th of July Dinner Cruise with live music and a stunning view of the fireworks show. Laughlin: Enjoy the Rockets Over The River show with a delightful dinner cruise along the Colorado River. Ely: Take a nostalgic ride on the Nevada Northern Railway’s Fourth of July Train and enjoy fireworks from a perfect vantage point. Las Vegas: Feel like you’re part of the action with a Papillon July 4th Helicopter Flight, offering unparalleled views of the Strip’s dazzling displays. Nevada Division of Tourism (Travel Nevada) Pro Tip: Remember to keep our beautiful state clean by participating in the Keep Tahoe Red, White, and Blue Beach Clean-Up on July 5th. Let’s leave only footprints behind! Just as Nevada celebrates with innovative events, we at OCIO are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to improve our state’s services. This year, we are celebrating our nation's independence but also the spirit of innovation that drives us forward. Join us in celebrating this Independence Day by exploring the amazing events across our state and sharing your experiences. How are you integrating technology into your celebrations?
