There is a big difference between a job and a career opportunity. A job is a sideways move and a career opportunity is an upwards move. For something to be considered an upwards move, 2 key questions have to be answered. HOW and WHY it's an upward move. Have to say, I'm buzzing. 📈 The next key step on the path to a well run, customer-first, specialized Life Sciences recruitment consultancy. More news to follow in a few weeks. The value in finding the right person, via the right channels has been shown once again, but this time with me on the receiving end! For leadership or candidates considering whether to just 'DIY' vs using a staffing partner when it comes to recruitment; consider that I have all the paid tools, services, experiences and knowledge to identify, attract, and hire people. Three posts so far and I know you cannot be tired of hearing from me yet 😊 Regardless, here is what the Director of Workforce Pipelines for a 50K+ employee healthcare organization said about their experience using Talent Mobility from Talent Science: “Our Talent Science outreach program was by far the best performing one of anything we have tried, and we have tried a lot. We tried emails, posters, mailers (which were expensive), etc.. This program was 166% more productive than our next best performing campaign." The backstory This organization was struggling to find external candidates for their high-impact roles like Patient Care Technicians and Medical Assistants. They decided that their best path forward was to focus on the growth potential of their internal talent so they used Talent Science to refine their focus. We reviewed 2,000 people currently working in the cafeteria, janitorial services, and administrative staff who showed strong alignment to the predictive behaviors in the Patient Care Technician and Medical Assistant profiles. 800 people were identified with high potential to succeed in the target roles, and they had 90 meaningful conversations in the first week from people interested in the new opportunity. One person even cried because their organization saw more potential in them than the responsibilities of their current role. Do you really have to worry about looking like a 'job hopper' in #MedicalAffairs or #pharma? Most likely, the answer is no. Hiring managers almost always can detect when candidate's moves are soley based on compensation alone. That's usually a red flag to them. Last week's poll revealed what you think! Almost 50% of you believe that waiting to leave at the 2-3 year mark is key. Another 22% say leave when you are ready to leave. 17% say give it 1-2 years. 14% feel like 3+ years is optimal.
