I want my team to win. Always. 🏆 One key to a winning team? The players have to be ALL in. 🎯 What that means to me has taken many different forms over the years in my work experience. When I worked as an ER Clerk working overnights while going to school, that meant that I wanted to gather the healthcare team (doctors, nurses, radiology techs, lab techs, etc.) as efficiently as possible to give patients the best care. This was a great opportunity to see a winning team at work. I was all in. ✅ While working at my very first job as a Legal Assistant, my contribution to the team meant learning everything possible so that I not only knew my job inside and out, I could stand in for others. My goal was to be able to help anyone within the firm, if and when asked. I not only wanted my attorney to be able to count on me, I wanted the entire firm to be successful. I was all in. ✅ While working in my most recent role as a litigation paralegal, my attitude was the same as it was at my first law firm, my contributions to the team were just different. I had the opportunity to work within several different teams at my last firm - whether it was working directly with my Legal Assistant to create the most efficient processes to keep cases moving forward, working with my attorneys (and their teams) to provide the best possible experience for our clients from the beginning of a case all the way through trial, or working side by side with my fellow paralegals, there were so many team opportunities. I was all in. ✅ Now that I’ve started my own business, I have the opportunity to work side by side with talented legal professionals (my new team) on a wide variety of projects. I am able to utilize my experience and knowledge to help them move their practices forward with project-based work, hiring assistance, consulting and more. I am all in. ✅ While my team has looked different with each experience, my commitment to my team and wanting my team to win remains unchanged. I am all in. ✅ #teamwork #teamdevelopment #leadership #contractparalegal #legalnetworking #projectbasedparalegal #virtualparalegal #legalstaffing #paralegals #legalassistant #legalassistance #legalpractice #legalpracticemanagement #lawfirm #lawyer #legalnetworking #legalentrepreneurship #legalsupport #MindHiveSolutions

Associate Consultant at Realm Recruit - Specialist in the Recruitment of Family Lawyers across Merseyside, Lancashire and West Cheshire
👶🏼 Michaela incoming... I remember when I made the transition from working in retail to becoming a paralegal. At first, I wasn’t sure how my retail experience would translate into the legal world, but I quickly realised that many of the skills I had developed were incredibly valuable. For example: 🛒 My time in retail taught me how to handle client-facing situations with ease. 💼 Working in retail required an eye for detail. 📋 Juggling multiple tasks, especially during busy periods, honed my ability to manage time effectively. 💬 Interacting with customers and team members in retail sharpened my communication skills. So, if you’re applying for a paralegal role and only have experience in another field like retail, don’t underestimate the value of those skills. They can be your stepping stone into a successful legal career—just like they were for me! #CareerAdvice #TransferableSkills #Paralegal #LegalRecruitment #CareerGrowth #TeamRealm

I built an intake team before anything else. When I was a solo attorney, I was doing everything. One of the first bottlenecks was finding enough time to take calls with incoming leads. If each call took, say, 10-15 minutes on average, and I got 10 contacts a day, that’s 2 hours per day spent towards inbound lead calls. And that’s before we talk about any follow up, research, onboarding, and, ya know, doing billable legal work! I decided to make my first hire an intake manager (rather than another attorney or paralegal). That person would build our intake team and get intake largely off of my plate. The intake manager also would build the rest of the intake team in the meantime. That would give us much more scalability (and it has!). Now we have capacity to crank up our marketing spend since we have people to field new leads. Once you have the power to pull in many leads, the first limitation is your ability to onboard them. And once you fix that onboarding process [i.e. intake], the next limitation is fulfillment [i.e. attorneys and legal staff]. You can guess where my main hiring focus is now!
