Melini Moses I’m so proud of you! 👏 If you’re entering into the field of communications or considering taking the leap - please do yourself a favour and read the wonderful tips from this article ⬇️ I’m accused of repeating this until I’m probably blue in the face, but I do tell all interns that “you are a brand”! Every email that you send, every verbal or non-verbal communication that comes from you signals the kind of brand you are and whether you are worth investing in. All those tips received ages ago about “sitting up straight” vs “slouching” still holds true .. it all speaks volumes about you and the kind of presence you exude. How you shake a hand, make eye contact and especially today with social media etiquette … people have an opportunity to form a perception about you before they have even met you. Take your “brand” seriously. We’re all aware of the influencer trend … people/companies/organizations choose to pay them to promote their products because they are seen to be credible and influential … in other words their brand has selling power. You’re a brand - invest in yourself and hold yourself in high and humble regard. Be a brand people can trust and count on.
