    1. NewMarket Corporation has acquired AMPAC Intermediate Holdings LLC, the parent company of American Pacific Corporation (AMPAC). Based in Utah, AMPAC manufactures critical performance additives for space launch and military defence applications, including the environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agent, Halotron BrX. This strategic acquisition shows NewMarket’s commitment to identifying opportunities outside the petroleum additives business that meet their M&A criteria.      2. IFF has appointed Erik Fyrwald as the new Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, succeeding Frank Clyburn. With over four decades of executive and operational expertise, J. Erik Fyrwald, formerly CEO of Syngenta, brings valuable leadership experience to IFF.     3. KRAHN Chemie Group has acquired a stake in SPECIALITIES, a distributor of specialty chemicals for the home care, personal care, and industrial cleaning markets across Europe. With this strategic investment, SPECIALITIES complements KRAHN Chemie’s product range and strengthens its distribution network.      4. Elkem ASA has acquired REC Solar Norway AS from REC Solar Holdings AS, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. This acquisition gives Elkem control over industrial areas in Norway, including those near Fiskaa in Kristiansand. It secures access to facilities for testing products and green production processes.     5. Italmatch Chemicals, a global specialty chemical group, has finalised the purchase of a majority stake in Alcolina Química e Derivados, a Brazilian chemicals company specialising in water treatment for bioethanol, sugar production, and industrial applications. Europa Metals Ltd (AIM:EUZ, JSE:EUZ) has agreed a deal to sell its 100% interest in the Toral project, in northern Spain, to Denarius Metals Corp. A share-based transaction is valued at C$3.5 million in equity – with Europa being paid 7 million of Denarius’ Cboe and OTC listed shares priced at C$0.50 each (all subject to a four-month hold agreement). Europa separately announced a new reverse takeover which sees it acquire the Tynagh brownfield project in County Galway, Ireland. The project is effectively a high-grade tailings recycling venture, with over 6 millions of resource. Via the Denarius deal, meanwhile, Europa shareholders will retain exposure to the Denarius’ portfolio which includes projects in Colombia and Spain. Europa’s shareholders will be asked to approve the transactions at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for mid-October 2024, with the final closing anticipated before the end of 2024. OCI Global yesterday entered into a binding equity purchase agreement for the sale of 100% of #OCIMethanol to Methanex Corporation for a purchase price consideration of USD 2.05 billion on a cash free debt free basis, following a competitive process. 🤝 The Transaction Consideration will be paid through a combination of approximately USD 1.15 billion of cash (taking into account net indebtedness) and the issuance of 9.9 million of common shares of Methanex.
