Just attended a discussion on the upcoming procurement regulations hosted by Tom Sander-Daniel and Charles G. from Thornton & Lowe. The session provided insights into: 1. Where we Stand: Overview of the Procurement Act, its timeline, and UK Government proposals. 2. Transparency of Information: Enhancing clarity and openness in the procurement process. 3. Frameworks and DPS’: Updates on frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems. 4. Competitive Flexible Procedures: New competitive approaches. 5. Central Digital Platform: Streamlining procurement through digital innovation. There has been a lot of discussion about the new Procurement Act, and it was good to get more clarification following the election and cut through some of the speculation that had been taking place as a result. The session offered clarity on how these regulations will shape the future procurement landscape for suppliers. #Procurement #PublicContracts #BusinessStrategy #RegulatoryChanges #SupplyChainManagement #Supplier #Bid #Proposal

On the back of some FAQs re use of Dynamic Purchasing Systems for below threshold contracts, we thought it would be useful to summarise our analysis of the difference between why Dynamic Markets cannot be used for below threshold contracts, and why DPS can. The question about how authorities will commission services like home to school transport still remains. Answers in the comments below please! #dynamicpurchasingsystems #dynamicmarkets
This October, the Procurement Act 2023 will introduce Dynamic Markets as a new commercial tool. Read our latest article to understand how this will impact the use of Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) for below threshold contracts - including why these contracts cannot be awarded under a Dynamic Market, and whether the common practice of awarding below threshold contracts under a DPS is also unlawful.
