Check out the new video about our partnership with the Oakland Children's Initiative: https://lnkd.in/ggvkqZXN The partnership between Oakland Promise and the City of Oakland's Children's Initiative has allowed us to reach even more of Oakland’s youth and families. The initiative is the product of the will of the people of Oakland, and we are incredibly proud to have served as an implementation partner since its inception. This collaboration combines the Children's Initiative's mission to expand early childhood education and college access with Oakland Promise's comprehensive strategies. As an implementation partner, we provide college savings programs, financial literacy coaching, college-going mindset programming, scholarships, training, mentoring opportunities, and more! As recipients of the College Access Supports Fund, the Children's Initiative's support for our work is pivotal to our mission. We guide students toward postsecondary education and offer support from cradle to career. We offer targeted support to help students build confidence in their educational futures and achieve their goals in over 50 schools. By working closely with families, schools, and the community, we ensure every student can succeed because, at Oakland Promise, we believe that opportunity changes everything. We do this work with our community-based organizations and partnerships to help increase the reach and capacity of our work. Join us in this transformative journey to help more Oakland youth achieve higher educational opportunities.
