We are #LegacyProud of Dr. Pathik Desai from Legacy for his presentation at the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) conference, where he shared the stage with the CEO of ConferMED. Dr. Desai's presentation centered on Legacy's successful implementation of e-consults, highlighting our effective strategies for sustaining utilization over time. E-consults help to enhance patient care by enabling faster access to specialized expertise, increasing efficiency in care coordination, and providing convenient access to care. This is how Legacy practitioners like Dr. Desai can reach the most patients and improve the way health care is delivered.

National Health Center Week (NHCW) is an annual celebration that highlights the significant role of health centers in providing comprehensive and culturally sensitive healthcare services to millions of Americans. For 2024, NHCW will take place from August 4 to August 10. Health centers, also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), serve as vital healthcare providers for underserved communities, offering primary care, dental services, mental health support, and preventive services regardless of patients' ability to pay. The theme for NHCW 2024 is "Community Health Centers: The Key to Healthier Communities." This theme emphasizes the integral role of health centers in fostering healthy communities through their patient-centered care models, community outreach programs, and emphasis on preventive care. Head of Therapy, Community Group, UHCW. ILM Level 5 Qualified Coach & Mentor, NLP Practitioner, BSc Hons Physiotherapy. Passionate about leadership, development and all things AHP!
AHPs are key to rehab and reducing dependancy on long term care….their value being recognised whilst working within integrated teams is critical to ensure our workforce is fit for the future, to support increasingly complex care in the community. #urgentandemergencycare #UEC #improvinglivesforpeople #integratedhealthandsocialcare #AHPs #addedvalue #personalisedcare
The best campaigns change more than policy and use more than the best communications, AI, strategy and content. Health and rehab campaigning by day...non-Exec Director disability sports and theatre charities by night.
It is the culmination of many peoples work. Physiotherapists are named in an election manifesto! The profession has so much to deliver. This huge public and political recognition follows on just 24 hours after the CEO of NHS England, Amanda Pritchard also named “physio “ and community health care in her opening speech at NHSEConFedExpo! It’s a great day to be a physio! And thank you to our valuable and highly skilled support workers!

FQHC Executive Coach | Former FQHC CEO | FQHC Business Strategist | FQHC Leadership Coach | I help FQHC CEOs and Leaders with Strategies and Tactics to Successfully Run Their Health Centers
Fostering relationships with specialists, organizations, and people who refer patients to your health center is a great way to increase the number of new patients you see. Here are some excellent referral sources to whom you can start educating about your services, reciprocate the referral, and show your appreciation regularly. 🔹 Specialty providers: Like primary care providers, dental and behavioral health providers refer to specialists; specialists can also refer people to your providers. Run a report from your EHR to see who is referring patients to you and send them a token of your appreciation. Or, see who is not currently referring patients to you and ask to give their staff a presentation on the health center's services. 🔸 Church leaders: Church leaders often try to find healthcare services for their members. Bring them lunch and tell them about your services and how you serve people in their communities. 🌟 Human service organizations: Ask to be included on the staff meeting agenda at your local domestic violence shelter, public housing authority, job service, and transitional living facilities, and tell them about your services. Of course, stand behind your word anytime you promote your services to people who are referring you. If you promise they can be seen within a week, ensure that is true. If you tell them you can see new patients, ensure you have enough providers. Want to learn all my proven strategies for attracting 1,000 new patients to your health center year after year? Join me on a free webinar where I'll teach my 4-part framework that I used as the CEO of a federally qualified health center and attracted 1,000 new patients year after year.
