Three months ago, I attended a workshop Conference on Human Capital Development in Africa organized by ATD-Ethiopia, Ministry of Labor and Skill- FDRE, GIZ Ethiopia and Djibouti , and The i-Capital Africa Institute My Key takeaway was: - Investing in employee skills is not only beneficial for employees, but it's also smart economics for companies. - There is a significant skills mismatch between Skill and jobs available in the market, job seekers struggle to find jobs because their qualifications, skills, and talents don't align with company requirements. Solutions recommended at the conference: - Practical, hands-on training and education can bridge this gap between skills and job market needs. How can Professionals build their skills? In the Digital Age, online learning plays a crucial role in developing the skills and talents of professionals. It offers a cost-effective and accessible way to gain knowledge and qualifications, without geographical limitations. The kick-off meeting of the #InterGenic project takes place these days at the Nicosia campus of the University of Limassol. It is the first time that the consortium meets in person. UJI, as the coordinating entity, has presented the objectives of the project and the management strategies to ensure a smooth execution of the project. The rest of the partners presented the exciting tasks that the project will put into practice. The main objective of this #Erasmus+ project (2023-1-ES01-KA220-ADU-000155225) is to support the EU's #twin_transitions (digital/green) through #intergenerational_learning. The project will develop mutual knowledge relationships between youth and seniors (in the form of mentorships) and joint actions that will highlight the value and impact of intergenerational exchanges for European societies. During the next two years, the project will demonstrate that promoting intergenerational learning can strengthen the #alignment of #green_and_digital transitions.

One of the possibilities offered by European projects is that young people can work within the organizations that manage these projects. Through the Interreg Volunteer Youth Marta works in the Atlantic InnoBlue Communities project in the Vida Lactea organization, combining her training and the development of activities, programs and projects in the communication of the Atlic project. ATLIC is a pioneering project co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Atlantic Area programme. #atlicEU #AtlicCommunity #AAyouth #AAcreative #AtlicInnoBlue #BlueEconomy #AtlicInnoblueProject
