Love Shows Up ? The future of human services is evolving, and it's time we prioritise a holistic, community-driven approach that values love, collaboration, and inclusivity. The message of Camden Love Shows Up (see information about this years event through the link) has inspired us to think about the principles that can guide the transformation of human services. 💞Let's start with collaboration. Empowering parents and caregivers to have a voice in shaping the services and support systems that directly affect their families is crucial. This fosters a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for the well-being of all. 💞Additionally, we must strive for a culture that eliminates the stigma associated with seeking help. Everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and understood. Encouraging a learning mindset that continually seeks to understand and adapt to the changing needs of individuals and communities is also essential. This fosters innovation and responsiveness in service delivery. 💞Recognising that meaningful change occurs through relationships is critical. Prioritising the development of authentic connections between individuals, organisations, and communities as a foundation for transformative action is key. 💞Finally, promoting a culture of care that values empathy, compassion, and a commitment to the well-being of all is crucial for healing from past traumas and the co-creation of a more just and equitable future. Culture Conversations will be at Love Shows Up V with the rest of the group talking about the design and delivery of human services, we can work towards a future where all individuals and communities have the support and resources they need to thrive. Let's work together to create a more inclusive, collaborative, and loving world. https://lnkd.in/eFUaKYED

This short read explores how the uniquely positioned, member-based associations can help combat the end-of-summer blues, give people a sense of meaning and belonging, and cultivate the Potential of People: https://ow.ly/M09150ThQBx #AssociationManagement #MembershipManagement #PeopleFirst

Some of you may know that each month on the fourth Friday I get up at the crack of dawn, 5,53 to be exact, and join the Brighton Chamber team in putting on an event to help businesses connect and be inspired. It’s the Chamber Breakfast at Bills. I’ve been to about 80 of these now ( 🤯 ), in my seven years at the Chamber. And each month, we have a speaker that teaches me something, or shares something, that resonates or inspires. This morning, our guest speaker was the delightful and kind Robin Banerjee. Robin delivered a fantastic workshop at Brighton Summit back in 2022 on Kindness in the workplace and he returned today to share a bit more about that work, but also about his own personal story, and how his work has been informed by his multiple experiences of social connection, from childhood in Japan to finding a home in Brighton. Robin reminded us that the small stuff matters, and small acts of kindness are the best place to start. I wanted to share some of the small acts of kindness that I saw at the breakfast this morning from the wonderful people that make up our Chamber community. If anyone who came along has any other examples from this morning. share them in the comments! 🌟 Questions being asked to each other, showing interest and genuinely and empathically listening to the answer. 🌟Chamber members being buddies to people who are coming along for the first time. at least 20 Ambassadors agree each month to be a kind and generous welcoming face to new members. 🌟People were paying each other compliments ‘that was a brilliant question’, ‘what a fantastic outfit’, ‘congrats on completing the marathon’ – were just a few of the kind words exchanged that I overheard. 🌟People introducing each other –bringing people into conversations so they aren’t alone. 🌟A business book given generously to someone who might value it. 🌟A smile 🌟A hello 🌟Getting a coffee for someone who has come in late and wants to get settled. Kindness isn't soft. Kindness is strong. What a fantastically kind morning.

#Clarity is kindness! ✨ This has been a theme for us over the last few weeks. In particular, the clarity on the intention and spirit of our Walk & Talk community here in #Singapore One of our favorite books by Priya Parker 'The Art of Gathering' emphasizes the importance of having a clear purpose when gathering a group of people. She says that understanding why you are gathering and what you hope to achieve ensures that the event is meaningful and impactful for everyone involved. She advocates for specificity and intentionality to create a truly memorable and effective gathering. 🙌 So, we reflected on this a lot and came up with these 3 key principles that guide our Walk & Talk sessions: 1️⃣ Connect, not transact: This community is about reconnecting with the outdoors and forming genuine connections with those you walk with. This is a space for deep connection rather than transactions, pitching or hard selling of products and services. 2️⃣ Come as you are: The Walk & Talk experience strives to create an environment where everyone can show up as their genuine selves. We are not in formal office attire but dressed casually and appropriately to be outside with the natural elements. We are not here with job titles but as we are in our everyday lives. This way of connecting avoids the confining and stiff nature of more structured and traditional events or meetups. 3️⃣ Respect and Explore: Enjoy and respect the natural setting that fosters calmness, encourages easier conversation, and leads to deeper connections with others. Let your #Curiosity guide you as you notice the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. Be mindful of the wildlife around you and treat the natural landscape with respect. We lead a community and with it comes the responsibility of making sure everyone understands the environment that we would like to create together. 🌱 One new walker & talker shared her reasons for joining: "I'm coming to share and meet new folks outside of my usual work environment!"💚 👉 If you would like to join us, please click on the link for the schedule and to sign up. Walk with you soon! #Community #PurposeLed #Facilitation #ConnectionMatters #Alignment

Helping Founders, Executives, and Investors Maximize their LinkedIn Presence to Develop Thought Leadership I CEO of YKC Media I Generate Opportunities from LinkedIn by Leveraging Strategic Ghostwriting
Fun, though very humid summer evening last night celebrating Tu B’Av, the Jewish equivalent of Valentine’s Day 💙 For those who move to Israel, and especially Tel Aviv, meeting new people can be challenging… making new friends is an activity which becomes increasingly challenging with age Actually, a lot of the young professional events which have become popular here in recent years were inspired by the same types of networking and social events I used to attend (and host) in New York years ago In that way, the American style of “networking” events became popular here Especially in tech, where community is so important As an example, when I first got to New York years ago I started attending A LOT of events, a few a week, and at the time I just enjoyed the experience and meeting new people, but what I was doing was taking part in building community And if I had to start from zero in a new location, and was intent on meeting new people, and making new professional contacts, I would do the same thing again Though today, a strong and active online presence is equally as important as meeting in person It is true that you may meet a lot of people whose values may not be aligned with yours, and that is OK, but you meet some amazing people as well People who can change your life But you need to put yourself out there, AND (this is key, as I figured this out later), but also be open when someone initiates a conversation with you… so both to give and receive In building community, there are a few key elements that make up a strong community such as its members being open to making connections, shared values, and often a shared cause or goal. I don’t know if startups or investors NEED a community in order to succeed, but it is a framework which can accelerate growth or generate opportunities from the active participants This is especially true in New York, as access is a real thing… and it can be so meaningful that you meet one person who can positively change your life, and impact the professional trajectory of your endeavor, career, etc. But what I did notice, is that here in Israel, leadership really influences the formation of communities And put aside the importance of a strong personality, during these difficult times I’ve seen, and met young leaders with a vision We see this in the activism in working to bring the hostages back home, but also in the weeks and months after Oct 7th, where so many in the country volunteered. Leaders stepped up where the government left a wide gap of inactivity, and of their own agency created initiatives, and built organization and community around their initiatives Those people are often the subjects of my “hero posts” Not every leader is a community organizer, but leaders who create change always lead a community of committed members #communitybuilding #israelunderfire #mondaymotivation
