Week 3 day 3 at Yali RLC West Africa: The Day We Learned to Laugh and Build Together It was a busy day in our group project. We were all working hard, trying to come up with the best possible solution. But we had two different groups, each with their own ideas. It was like two groups of people who really liked different things, trying to make one thing together. It was tricky! We were all nervous because we had to choose which idea was best. It was like we had to vote for one idea over the other. But nobody wanted to vote for the other group's idea. It was like a game where nobody wanted to give in. Then, something funny happened. Our coach made a joke about how we were all going to fail if we couldn't agree. We all started laughing, and it made us think differently. We realized that it wasn't about winning, it was about learning and working together. So, we started talking to each other. We listened to each other's ideas and tried to understand them. We realized that even though we liked different things, we could learn from each other. We worked together and came up with an idea that was a mix of both groups' ideas. It wasn't perfect, but it was good because we all worked together to make it happen. That day taught me a really important lesson. Sometimes, the best way to solve a problem is to work together and listen to each other. Even when we have different ideas, we can learn from each other and make something amazing happen. It's like a puzzle! When you have a big puzzle, it's hard to put it together alone. But if you work with someone else, you can see the picture from different angles and make it work.
