As Manufacturing USA celebrates our 10th anniversary, we shine a spotlight on the first manufacturing innovation institute, America Makes. Since its establishment in 2012, America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, has been a driving force in advancing additive manufacturing (3D printing) and building a dynamic ecosystem of government, academic, and industry stakeholders. This model of public-private collaboration is a hallmark of the Manufacturing USA network. Beyond driving innovation in additive manufacturing, America Makes is tackling critical challenges in traditional industries. For instance, it recently explored how 3D printing can transform casting and forging operations — strengthening supply chains, enhancing design flexibility, and bolstering national defense. Discover how America Makes continues to build on its legacy and read what Executive Director John Wilczynski envisions for the institute’s next decade: https://lnkd.in/ewqNw2kV #AdvancedManufacturing #ManufacturingUSA #AmericaMakes #AdditiveManufacturing
