"Low Pressure Crankshaft" It is well known that Cosworth adopted so called "Low Pressure Crankshaft" in their DFV Formula One engines in 1970s, as described in a book "Power to Win: Design, Development and Achievements of the Ford Cosworth DFV, DFX, DFL and DFY V8 Racing Engines". It seems that BRM adopted this concept, off-center drilling, in their V8 crankshaft a decade earlier, in 1960s as mentioned in this web page. https://lnkd.in/eGf7h7G8 Now I wonder seeing 1950s' Lancia D50 engine's cross section drawing from another book "Lancia and De Virgilio: At the Centre", crankshaft seems with off-center drilling. I really appreciate if someone can tell me whether D50 crankshaft adopted low pressure crankshaft two decades earlier than famous Cosworth DFV.
