Head of Program Management - Additive Manufacturing Lattice bei OECHSLER AG

🌟 Exploring Additive Manufacturing at OECHSLER 🌟   AM, commonly known as 3D printing, is a process that creates objects layer by layer from digital models. It's transforming the manufacturing landscape by allowing for greater design freedom, material efficiency, and rapid prototyping. At OECHSLER, we leverage two cutting-edge AM technologies: HP 3D Printing Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) and Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS).   HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) HP MJF offers several advantages, including solvent-free processing, the ability to create complex geometries, and use of automotive-approved materials. Ideal for lattice structures, technical components, and prototypes, the process starts with converting a CAD file into a printable format and placing the component in a virtual build chamber. The printer applies thin layers of powder, which are selectively fused by special inks and IR heat. This layer-by-layer method continues until the component is complete. Post-printing, air and particle blasting remove residual powder and optimize the surface. Finally, rigorous quality control ensures high standards.   Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) Carbon DLS, known for rapid printing and flexible, high-rebound materials, is perfect for sporting goods. The process begins with converting a CAD file into a printable format and placing the component in a virtual build platform. Liquid resin is poured into a container with a UV-permeable window at the bottom. A projection unit cures the resin layer by layer as the component is pulled upwards. Post-printing, the component is washed or spun to remove residual resin and cured in an oven. Rigorous quality control ensures all parts meet the highest standards.   💡 Why is AM Relevant for the Polymer Industry? AM is revolutionizing the polymer industry by enabling the creation of complex geometries, producing lightweight yet durable components, and significantly reducing waste. This technology also accelerates innovation by allowing rapid prototyping and iterative design.   At OECHSLER, we're proud to harness the power of AM to push the boundaries of what's possible in the polymer industry for more than 8 years. Stay tuned for more insights in our BE:FOCUSED series as we continue to showcase our technological expertise.   #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrinting #Innovation #OECHSLER #HPJetFusion #CarbonDLS #PolymerIndustry #BEFOCUSED
