The Pathways for Advancing Careers and Education (PACE) project and the Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) seek to apply a career pathways framework to evaluate varied training programs for nontraditional student populations. This Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation report (https://buff.ly/4cpt395) presents the plan for evaluating the impacts of the PACE project and the first round of HPOG on key outcomes nine years after random assignment into the program. The purpose of this resource is to document the study approach and publicly commit to specified outcomes in hypothesis testing and an estimation approach prior to inspecting treatment-control differences on newly collected data. #PeerTA #TANF #TA #TechnicalAssistance #OFA #ACF #HumanServices #SocialServices #Families #Healthcare #Equity #Employment #Outcomes #Earnings

This report from our research partners Abt Global and MEF Associates presents the plan for evaluating the impacts of the Pathways for Advancing Careers and Education (PACE) project and the first round of Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG 1.0) on key outcomes nine years after random assignment into the program. The analysis plan addresses the following primary questions, nine years after randomization: 1. What is the impact of each PACE program and of HPOG 1.0 programs collectively on educational progress and labor market outcomes? 2. To what extent do impacts vary across selected subpopulations? 3. For PACE programs that generated positive earnings impacts, do the benefits exceed the costs from the standpoint of participants, employers, government, and society? https://buff.ly/3WORtE4 #Employment #Training #Research #Education #CareerPathways #HPOG

An education, health and care ( EHC ) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support. EHC plans identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs. Our schools are already struggling with funding for students with additional learning needs. The latest figures indicate that this need is only going to increase. Last week the DfE released official statistics which show the total number of Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans has continued to rise. Sadly, only 50.3% of these plans were completed within the targeted timescale of 20 weeks. The number of children and young people with EHC plans increased to 576,000, up by 11.4% from 2023. #EHCP #specialeducationneeds #additionallearningneeds #ALN #educationfunding #pinceducation
