Hiring is hard. Making the perfect match is even harder. Especially when there are not very many highly skilled candidates to pick from. For regional business owners trying to hire a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Welder or Auto Electrician the challenge is real. Many businesses are forced to rush their hiring process, just to get bodies on board. Here are the 7 biggest hiring mistakes you can make: 1. Limiting your talent pool. Don’t rule out international or offshore candidates 2. Paying for expensive job ads that yield poor quality applicants. 3. Only doing one interview. We interview candidates up to 5 times, starting with a recorded video interview. 4. Talking too much in the interview. Interviews are the candidate's chance to share information. 5.
