CELEBRATING SMALL WINS 🥂 Celebrating “small wins” means to select a special date to carry out something, in this case, a small achievement. However, a small victory in school can be equally important when a student learns something after much effort, just like it can be an achievement for someone who needs it for their job Small wins are defined as the small, self-generated accomplishments people occasionally have towards their professional objectives. Their importance is determined by them contributing to one's feeling of achieving personal progress. Moreover, they have the ability to support the states of positive productivity. A key feature regarding small wins is that the results are the effect of the personal efforts of an employee. These accomplishments are not dependent to factors such as investments of money or time. On the whole, these represent relatively easier goals than those associated with corporate departments or firms and take a shorter period of time to be accomplished. The concept of celebrating small wins emphasizes the importance of recognizing incremental goals to remind us of our progress and keep us motivated to continue to pursue our goals. Organizations should cultivate the culture of celebrating, acknowledging or incentivizing small victories. Krech and Crutchfield (2004) illustrate the concept by explaining how organisms, given unnecessary shocks for every action, simply stop trying. However, if the organism is given positive reinforcement for taking action, they're more likely to repeat the action. These small wins can take shape in a variety of ways. Just like the just concluded AFCON tournament where we got the 2nd place position and got the silver medal is a reminder that there is a shift because we barely even qualified at the group stage. Infact, we qualified for the round of 16 through the group stage win as one of the “best losers”. Since 2013, we made the 3rd place position in 2019, then got to the round of 16 in 2021, we barely qualified in 2021 and in 2024, we made a Silver medal giving the wobbly history as participants of this historic football tournament. My own joy be say we beat south Africa and that’s all that matters 😂😂😂😂😂(this is just a joke oo😂😂😂 no South African hiring manager should take this personal 😂😂) #monday #Nigerian #Supereagles #Febuarypost
