It was a gorgeous evening to participate in the firm's final 2024 JPMorgan Corporate Challenge. Our London team's efforts contributed to Centrepoint, an organization dedicated to supporting homeless young people. #JPMCC #LifeAtOM

It's not every day that you get to work on a campaign in collaboration with an organisation that holds the steadfast focus and quiet determination of The Trussell Trust. Ok, not so quietly and rightly so - led by Emma Revie with a dedicated team, too many to list (but I've tried!) There is likely an incredible Trussell Trust food bank, or another community led initiative in your town, that is compassionately, under extreme pressure, supporting thousands of people. A single offer of fragile hope. For people who have jobs, but where it just isn't enough; for families stretched beyond breaking; for individuals, sometimes with complex needs in vulnerable situations who have slipped through the cracks. It just shouldn't be this way. The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity who work tirelessly within the ever changing UK landscape, always focussed on the hope that one day, we will end the need for food banks. If you have the means to, please consider donating or ask yourself if you might be able to spare a tin to a food donation point when you do a shop. Or carrier bags! If fundraising is your thing, what are you waiting for?! And for those that are keen to understand the "why", definitely look at their research, reports and localised information and see how you can get involved in tackling misconceptions and to advocate for change. www.trusselltrust.org 💚 Gemma Page-Connolly Hannah McCulloch Faye Jordan James Tyrrell Georgia Holroyd Kirstie Mackey OBE Emma Cobbold Tracy Williamson (Goodyer) 💚

What would happen to you and I if we began living in together in a relational community? A key shift unfolds as we spend more time together…. Money is slowly losing its rank as the maker of security, something it had been when we lived alone in a consumer culture. We find ourselves, gradually, choosing to no longer spend the bulk of our time acquiring money for savings and future security. Our lives are becoming freer and freer from the accumulation of wealth as the principle form of safety. Why? What’s happening here? Economic security is gradually, almost invisibly, being replaced by a genuine form of social security. The safety we once felt when selling our time and labor to collect money is giving way to the safety offered by the community itself. Within our community, money isn’t direct currency. And it isn’t replaced by bartering. Instead, money is succumbing to mutuality, that is, community members supporting one another from a place of relational care. One community member explains it this way, “It flows from my heart to do whatever I can for others, and others do the same for me.” We’ve arrived, at last, in a culture honoring our relational nature. #ShareYourThoughts #TodaysPost #community #culture #relationalnature #Economy #consumer

Happy Reframe Friday! Today we want to reframe what it means when youth we support "take steps back". Being human means we are on a roller coaster with our progress, regardless of your context. At The HUB we believe that building a strong foundation of trust is where it begins, the first block is trust for each and every one us as we start our change process. Given this everything built on top of the trust are additional blocks, that can be knocked over or pushed over by systems and circumstances. As an example, a youth becomes connected with services, builds trust with a HUB staff and seems to be on an upward trajectory. This youth becomes more connected with services, gains additional positive assets and seems to be moving forward positively with behavior change. Then, this youth finds themselves getting arrested. We have fallen back a little in terms of turning to old norms. While to some agency spaces, this means we are starting from the ground up, with all the blocks pushed over, we view it differently. While becoming incarcerated is a roadblock, and maybe knocked down some of the building blocks on this person's tower, their foundation of trust and healthy emotional assets did disappear. They have more blocks that can withstand this set back based on resiliency and a trust process with support that is simply flexible in the support plan. At The HUB, in this case, support doesn't go away because someone is spending some time in custody, support shifts. We shift to phone calls, visits, community collaboration with engaging institutions and ensure that if and when they are released they have options, leaning on what strengths they have gained throughout their change process prior. We don't lose hard work, deep emotional learning and trust based on a change in the pathway. The tower is not fully destroyed, it just means some blocks tumbled and we reevaluate how to rebuild. Systems, relationships, racism, lack of low barrier supports among a whole multitude of other factors push our towers over, and it is important that youth serving agencies see the tumble of the tower as part of the journey, not as a permanent destination. #bedifferent #buildingblocks #flexiblesupportplans

Stories like Ahriana’s — and the quest to identify the right partners who can help unlock and support an entrepreneur’s trajectory — are common across the small business ecosystem in the U.S., but the outcomes aren’t always similar. The difference? In many cases, it’s a mission-driven support community like Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) who provide critical lending and other financial services to those who have been historically underserved. We explored the rapid growth behind CDFIs and what this could mean for small business owners like Ahriana here: https://bit.ly/3HG6ZJJ #StriveUSA #SmallBusiness #InclusiveGrowth #FinancialInclusion
