The difference between a T-shirt Quilt and a Blanket When considering a t-shirt "quilt" its good to know the difference between a quilt and a blanket. Some companies/people make blankets and call them quilts. Here's the difference: a blanket is made of a top and bottom that are stitched together around the edges. A quilt has batting between the top and back which is typically quilting cotton fabric and are quilted together providing stability and then binding is added around the edges. Blankets typically are made with a fleece backing and are not sewn together for stability and can quickly stretch out of shape. Quilts are stable and will not stretch lasting many years if cared for properly. Blankets cost less because they can be made quickly and use fewer and cheaper materials. Quilts cost more because they take longer to make and require more, higher quality fabric. If you want a t-shirt/memory quilt that will last for years, you may want to consider a quilt over a blanket. #quilt #memoryquilt #tshirtquilt

Dandelion Tincture Ingredients: - Fresh dandelion roots, leaves, and flowers - Apple cider vinegar Directions: 1. Clean the dandelion roots, leaves, and flowers thoroughly to remove any dirt. 2. Chop the dandelion parts into small pieces and fill a clean glass jar about halfway with them. 3. Pour the apple cider vinegar over the dandelion pieces until they are completely covered. The jar should be filled but not overflowing. 4. Seal the jar tightly with a non-metallic lid or cover the top with plastic wrap before sealing with a metal lid to prevent corrosion. 5. Store the jar in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, shaking it gently every few days to help the extraction process. 6. After 4-6 weeks, strain the tincture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar or bottle. 7. Label the bottle with the contents and the date. 8. Store the dandelion tincture in a cool, dark place. Use as needed. Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 4-6 weeks
