We asked one of our Principal Associates, Josie Coffey, some quick fire questions about hiring in the Renewables sector... 1. What have you found candidates are looking for most in a new role? Skill enhancement – people are often looking for companies / roles that give exposure to emerging technologies so they can widen their portfolio. Utility-scale projects often gain the most interest from the candidate market. 2. Why are people leaving current roles? Frequent change in management is often the primary reason employees seek new opportunities, pulling people towards stable companies with consistent leadership. 3. What are the most in demand skillsets/ job titles you’re seeing in Renewables? Project Developers – people who have experience with land acquisition, permitting, land leasing, contract negotiation. 4. What is most exciting about the Renewables sector right now? Lots of development in the storage space which is crucial! Wind and solar energy remain at the forefront of Europe’s renewable energy expansion. Onshore wind and utility-scale solar projects, especially those paired with energy storage, are competing well against fossil fuels. Thanks to various tax credits and subsidies, these renewable projects are becoming more financially viable, even with the current economic challenges. Thank you for your thoughts, Josie Coffey! #OPRenewables #Hiring #RenewablesJobs

🍃| Solar | Battery Storage | Renewables | Executive Search Specialist | Aged Vacancies | Difficult to Fill Positions | Looking to connect with professionals within the solar & storage sector
Some say that the key to being a good Solar Project Manager is..... Organisational skills, whereas others say it's a clear ability to manage multiple stakeholders across the value chain. Well if your good at both, then I've got the position for you. 🍃Open Position Spotlight 🍃 Are you interested in working with one of Germany's most respected solar companies? Do you want the chance to manage multiple large-scale solar projects at once? Ps. You need to be good at multitasking Here are a load of reasons we should talk, rather than a list of things you need to apply (if you are a Solar PM, just connect with me or send me an email and we can chat) - The company has a long and well respected track record in the market, its brand name speaks for itself - You won't be in a position where you are worried about the work-load drying up as they have a huge pipeline of projects - You would be managing large scale rooftop projects which go up to the 4MWp range, these are big industrial projects - You will get the autonomy to manage the project independently, its not a micromanagement environment - You don't have to be stuck behind a computer all day, you can get out, in the field and stand on the roof and manage the project in person - You get to make an impact on sustainability in Germany, delivering self consumption power to companies - There is an opportunity in the long term for you to manage large ground mount projects and if you are interested international solar projects If you want any more reasons, just shoot me a direct message and we can have a confidential chat #solar #jobs #Germany

🚀 Enhancing Renewable Energy Projects with Contract Employees 🌍 In the dynamic field of renewable energy, adaptability is paramount. Employing contract employees offers substantial advantages over permanent staff, particularly for project-based work. Firstly, contract employees bring specialized skills tailored to specific project needs. This ensures that you can onboard experts with the precise expertise required, without the long-term commitment. For instance, if you are developing a solar farm, engaging a contract engineer with extensive solar experience can significantly impact project success. Secondly, cost efficiency is a notable benefit. Contract employees can be hired for the duration of a project, facilitating better budget management. This strategy reduces overhead costs associated with permanent hires, such as benefits and long-term salaries. According to a recent study by the Renewable Energy Association, companies can save up to 30% on project costs by effectively utilizing contract staff. Lastly, contract employees provide scalability. As project demands fluctuate, you can effortlessly adjust your workforce size. This agility ensures that you have the right personnel at the right time, enhancing productivity and meeting project deadlines without the challenge of lengthy hiring processes. Are you considering contract employees for your upcoming renewable energy project?
