𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗 | 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟳 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘅 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 🔥 The casting process can begin! The specific steel alloy is melted in a 1000 kilo furnace and brought to cast temperatures, around 1600 °C. The ceramic tree is heated in the oven to prevent thermal shocks during the pouring process, as we explained in step 6. When the tree and the melt has raised the right temperature, the tree will be removed out the oven by a robotic arm and filled up with the melted steel alloy. When the trees have been poured, they are placed on a cooling conveyor where they are cooled down. In the next steps, the final product will be visible. We are excited to see what we’ve made! #lostwaxcasting #investmentcasting #precisioncasting #casting

How to solve the rivet issue of the hollow pin chains? Hollow pins are generally made of low-carbon alloy steel and with case hardened heat treatment to improve the wear resistance. However, due to their thin thickness and higher hardness, if the rivet head increases too big, it is easy prone to cracking, while if the rivet head is too small, it may cause the outer plate of the chain to fall off during use. See MTD how to handle this issue # hollow pin conveyor chains #

Things to consider when ordering Stainless Steel Tubing - Which alloy? Which temper or hardness? Welded, welded and drawn, or seamless? What specifications do you need to meet? What cross-sectional dimensions? How long? What surface finish? How straight? Do you need ovality, concentricity or eccentricity? How clean does it need to be? https://lnkd.in/e3fYuYDc

Picture of the month: Tensile test with “thick” steel strip This image shows a sample of our cold rolled steel strip with a thickness of approx. 10 mm being torn apart during a tensile test. The clearly recognizable necking in the strip thickness and width indicates high levels of ductility in this soft, fineblankable grade. Ductility refers to a material’s ability to deform plastically before it breaks. This is an important parameter for subsequent fineblanking by our customers. Learn more about our cold rolled steel strip in high thickness ranges in our related news article (see link in the comments). #potm #pictureofthemonth #qualityassurance #materialstechnology #steel #coldrolledsteel #steelindustry #inspireinnovateimprove
