A truly historic moment in women's sports and for all of Uzbekistan! 🇺🇿 Diyora Keldiyorova, Olympic champion judoka, became a national hero in Uzbekistan on 28 July by winning the country's first-ever Olympic judo gold in the -52kg category at Paris 2024. 🏅 Her donation was celebrated in a ceremony in Paris on 1 August, marking a proud moment for Uzbekistan. Diyora’s journey, marked by determination, passion and hard work, continues to inspire countless women and girls in Uzbekistan and beyond. 💪 In the spirit of friendship, Clarisse Agbegnenou – French judoka, individual and mixed team Olympic champion and Keldiyorova’s idol – surprised the Uzbek athlete with an appearance and heartfelt congratulations. Agbegnenou’s Tokyo 2020 judogi is currently on display at the Olympic Museum. ❤️ Thank you, Diyora, for embodying the Olympic values and for being a role model to many. Your legacy will inspire future generations of athletes. 🥋 Read more ➡ https://lnkd.in/ehxTewxG.
