#REALWater supports policymakers, development partners, and service providers in making strategic decisions and implementing best practices for water management through implementation research. In Tanzania, #REALWater is evaluating the Water Quality #AssuranceFund through collaborations with the Ministry of Water (MoW), RUWASA, and communities in the Manyara region's #Mbulu and #Hanang districts. This research will support Tanzania's efforts to improve rural water services and keep drinking water safe. The research will help develop plans to provide professional lab testing for water systems managed by RUWASA. Approximately 78,000 people are set to benefit from the assessment in Tanzania. Here is a detailed factsheet about the project in Tanzania: https://lnkd.in/eikBageT #REALWater | USAID Global Waters | Conrad N. For over 50 years, EARTHDAY.ORG has been viewed as a rallying call for action – a reminder that we all need to play our part to help ensure the wellbeing of our planet and all its people. 🌍 One thing that sets Liquid I.V. apart as a company is its iron clad commitment to impact initiatives that support expanding access to clean water for people in the U.S. and around the world. All part of our purpose: “To elevate the vitality of people and the planet.” One such initiative is Liquid I.V.'s partnership with Save the Children International, aimed at providing clean water for 18,000 individuals in Bari Province, Somalia – an area of the world that has been devastated by long-term drought. Each year, Save the Children International reaches tens of millions of children through its work in 116 countries, and Liquid I.V. is delighted to help support this organization’s important work. Last year, Liquid I.V. grants to leading water, humanitarian, and community-based organizations reached an estimated 320,000 people worldwide, and we are aiming to reach 500,000+ in 2024. 💧 See our blog post for more details about Liquid I.V.’s partnership with Save the Children International in Somalia! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gS6D4gUu #LiquidIV #SocialImpact #CleanWater #EarthDay #Hydration
Since the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, billions of people have been mobilized annually to participate in a wide range of planet-improving initiatives globally, according to EARTHDAY.ORG. The key challenge Liquid I.V. has chosen as the focal point of its impact program is helping provide reliable access to clean water for 2M people around the world. We anticipate reaching 500,000 people this year alone. Overall, the United Nations estimates that about 2.2 billion people worldwide lack access to clean water. 🌍 On this Earth Day 2024, we’re highlighting our partnership with Save the Children International, a global non-profit that for over 100 years has been helping ensure that the world’s most vulnerable children survive, learn and are protected. Through an investment of $350,000, Liquid I.V. is working with Save the Children International to leverage innovative solutions for providing clean water to support 3,000 households and a total 18,000 individuals in Bari Province, Somalia using solar-powered desalination technology. The impact of historic drought in Somalia has been devastating, with water scarcity intensifying daily. Save the Children International has identified access to clean drinking water as the most urgent need for the population.💧 Last year, Save the Children International installed a water distribution system powered by innovative technology created by Elemental Water Makers “This project goes beyond elevating living standards of the community; it symbolizes a profound shift, providing a free, fresh, and safe water supply,” says Mohamed Said, Save the Children Area Representative in Somalia. "The partnership with Liquid I.V. has been instrumental in improving the lives of the community, creating a ripple effect that echoes through health, resilience, and the promise of a better future for all those we impact.” Check out our blog post for more details about Liquid I.V.’s partnership with Save the Children! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gUgVtmH3 #LiquidIV #SocialImpact #CleanWater #EarthDay #Hydration

Recently, we sent material to Africa to participate in a field trial conducted by One Acre Fund to identify promising solutions with strong environmental profiles in the fight against Fall Armyworm. Ensuring global access to our innovations is core to the GreenLight Bio mission. We look forward to advancing the work against FAW and working with local stakeholders to find new ways to improve agricultural productivity in Africa. As a pest, FAW is estimated to cause upwards of $9B in annual maize crop loss each year in Sub-Saharan Africa alone. Yield losses can approach 60%. This is particularly challenging to smallholder farmers. One Acre Fund is a leading non-profit serving millions of farmers in nine Sub-Saharan countries where most of the continent’s food is grown. They are a champion of smallholder farmers in Africa, putting them first to improve lives and communities. Getting effective and sustainable products in the hands of the people who need them is difficult. This trial is the first step on that journey and we are grateful to have One Acre Fund leading the charge.

It’s been 54 years since the first Earth Day. Over those 5+ decades, what started as a “day” has turned into a movement that mobilizes over a billion people annually around the world to support a wide range of initiatives. 🌍 Here at Liquid I.V., impact is embedded in our DNA. One of the international partnerships we’re proud to have established is with Save the Children International. This project aims to provide access to at least 15 liters of clean water per person, per day by expanding a new solar desalination plant’s distribution system. Plus, community integration and engagement will help ensure its operation well into the future. This is one of several water access initiatives Liquid I.V. is proud to support in pursuit of our belief that water is a fundamental human right, and everyone should have enough to be hydrated.💧 Our blog post has more details about the situation in Somalia and Liquid I.V.’s partnership with Save the Children International! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/g3ZShmtR #LiquidIV #SocialImpact #CleanWater #EarthDay #Hydration
