🇸🇬 Happy National Day, Singapore! A nation renowned for its knowledge-driven, resilient, and forward-looking spirit. Wishing all my Singaporean friends and colleagues continued success and prosperity. In the West, we can certainly admire—and perhaps envy—how you consistently turn dreams into reality. Singapore is the prime example of science-based country and the justification why other small nations should not stop dreaming.
Happy National Day, Singapore! This year, we proudly celebrate 59 years of independence. As we reflect on our nation's journey and achievements, let us continue working towards a better tomorrow together, as one united people!

"OUR SINGAPORE- ONE UNITED PEOPLE" BY MATT-Q https://lnkd.in/gGqGKHgY Those who study history and are in touch with current affairs also know that 'unity' is a loaded term. It can be a banner used for various purposes and agendas, and it depends on who is heralding the call for unity and the MORAL BASIS in which one is advocating and mobilising for it. To me, Singapore can become as disunited as other states IF we let our success get to our head, put the cart before the horse and end up missing the forest for the trees. Any nation is as good as the its people and the kind of values they uphold collectively. Nationhood is an intrinsic and intangible sense of shared identity and bond, which is different from a mere STATE, which may have the physical and mechanical systems and structures in place. Nurturing a people in a STATE is inherently different from building up a NATION where there is this unseen but undeniable shared consciousness and sense of belonging amongst the people, which is a goal that we have been striving to achieve with each successive generation since our independence. We have done so well in terms of being NUMBER ONE for so many physical achievements. But surely, we will make a much more powerful and lasting impact on the world if Singaporeans were known for their kindness, compassion and willingness to journey alongside with those who are different, disabled, need more understanding and help and to help one another 'get there'. Wouldn't it be great if Singaporeans were not all about the money, accolades and KPIs, which are all important ONLY if there is a COMMON MORAL ANCHOR holding us together where we learn to EMPATHISE, IDENTITY AND care for one another? I dare say that getting that anchor right is tantamount to setting the LONG TERM FRAMEWORK where we build the foundations of lasting wellbeing for our nation because we leave no one behind and success does not turn us into self centred, self absorbed and distant individuals just existing to get the best individual deal for ourselves? Unrealistic? Well, you can't stop one Singaporean who has struggled all his life to feel that he belongs here, from praying and hoping that it may come true, even if it sounds idealistic. #oneunitedpeople #onesingapore #nationaldaysingapore #matthewqueksingapore #dream #nationhood #belonging #identity

Safety and Security. What many from foreign countries may not be aware of and what many Singaporeans may have taken granted for.
Today our message "Truly Secure Your Wealth" is increasingly resonating with sophisticated and wealthy individuals who are concerned about the next systemic crisis and are preparing for it while it’s still easy to do so.

Senior Legal Adviser at Financial Services Bureau, Government of The Macau Special Administrative Region
In this look at the other side of the world, we are in the midst of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic on 1 October. This is the occasion for the President of China, Xi Jinping, to reinforce his messages of confidence, shaping programme guidelines and strategies to meet not only the collective effort required, but also the expectations that guarantee the transformation, growth and sustainable progress of the world's second largest economy. As a citizen of Macau for more than two decades, I am optimistic that China, and the Macau SAR in particular, will continue in dialogue with Portugal, where doors are opening to understanding and cooperation for economic synergies, in different areas such as tourism promotion, infrastructure construction, health, education, academic and scientific research, and actions to enhance the sea, for the benefit of the new modernity, mutual knowledge and adaptation to multiculturalism. One that combines support for the Macanese community, the valorisation of the Portuguese language, the dialectic and legal continuity of the Portuguese matrix. A solid framework of articulated dimensions and consensus favourable to mutual progress. By design, it contributes to balance in the international context, committed to the development and prosperity of nations. In the middle of Golden Week, that's the inspiration.

That's a wonderful message for ISS Hong Kong to share during the Chinese New Year! It effectively conveys your warm wishes and enthusiasm for the festive season while also highlighting the significance of the Year of the Dragon. Here are some additional thoughts: **Strengths:** * Warm and welcoming tone. * Mentions key themes of the season: renewal, reflection, and unity. * Connects with the spirit of the Dragon and its symbolism. * Ends with classic Chinese New Year greetings. **Possible enhancements:** * Consider mentioning specific initiatives or events ISS Hong Kong is organizing to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. * You could personalize the message further by mentioning any achievements or milestones ISS Hong Kong achieved in the previous year. * If you have any specific goals or aspirations for the coming year, you could briefly mention them to inspire your audience. Overall, it's a great message that captures the spirit of the season and conveys your best wishes to your Placemakers, partners, and friends.
At ISS Hong Kong, we would like to extend our warmest wishes and heartfelt greetings to all our Placemakers, partners, and friends who are celebrating this traditional occasion. This festive season is a time of renewal, reflection, and unity, and it is with great enthusiasm that we come together to embrace the traditions and customs that make Chinese New Year so special. As we embark on this auspicious year, let us embrace the spirit of the Dragon – a symbol of power, wisdom, and good fortune. May the Year of the Dragon bring us new opportunities filled with joy and endless possibilities. 恭喜發財、龍年大吉! #ISSHK #CNY
