Back on October 27, 1994, something amazing happened - the first online #ad appeared on HotWired.com, opening a new chapter in digital history. This cool ad was for AT&T, and it was all about visiting museums.   The brains behind this? Rick Boyce and Ken McCarthy, two guys who really saw the future. And with Dana Lyon from Wired's help, they made it happen. Before HotWired, you couldn't really advertise on the internet. This was a whole new thing.
