The healthcare industry must prioritize the well-being of its nursing workforce. Sustainable work environments that support mental and physical health are crucial to combating burnout. This includes offering flexible schedules, opportunities for career advancement, and resources for stress management. Nurses deserve a work environment that not only values their contributions but also promotes their overall well-being (Healthcare Leader Portal) (DoctHub | Blogs). Tell me about an experience you have had in an unsustainable work environment. How did this environment affect you?

Interesting read
I always wondered how implementing a four-day workweek would affect workers and their systems. Would pay be cut? Would hours of operation need to change? And what kind of scheduling conflicts would we see? Well, it seems that Mount Sinai found a method that tackles all those issues. With the system they have in place, maybe this could be the beginning of prioritizing the well-being and reducing burnout among healthcare workers

Supporting caregivers is very important for the optimal operation of medical equipment. I see in practice that it is very important to choose the right lifting sling that matches the care needs. Therefore, we strive to ensure that every user of our products is fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and support. Whether it's nurses in hospitals or home care staff, our commitment is to help them use our equipment to its fullest potential. How do we achieve this? 📚 User-friendly manuals We provide comprehensive user manuals for our medical devices such as walker chairs, shower chairs, and slings. These manuals are written in understandable language so that everyone, regardless of technical skill, can understand how the equipment works. 🛠️Preventive maintenance We clearly indicate what caregivers should and shouldn't do to prevent equipment from being prematurely decommissioned. A recent example is a sling that had to be decommissioned because someone wrote on the information label with a marker. 📞 Direct support In addition to manuals, we offer direct support via phone, email, video calls, and other channels. This ensures that caregivers get quick answers to urgent questions, contributing to optimal care delivery. 🤝 Collaboration with occupational therapists We work closely with occupational therapists to ensure that our products, such as walking chairs and slings, are used correctly and to gather feedback from practice. Read more about our collaboration with an occupational therapist from Medicura and how we improved the Levi working chair together in our latest blog post. Wouldn't it be nice to decide exactly when you want to work? I remember implementing self-scheduling DECADES ago as an integral part of our shared governance model. Some hospital teams lost favor with this strategy over time, and now others are incorporating self-scheduling as a means of reducing staff burnout and turnover. According to a recent poll, about 66% of nurses reported being satisfied with their employers' flexible scheduling options. How can we use new solutions to move this data point to a much needed all-time high?
