History of the Croesus Mine at Munro-Croesus Project: Delve into the historical significance of the Croesus Mine, a cornerstone of Onyx Gold's Munro-Croesus Project. This mine, steeped in a rich history of gold production, represents a promising indication for exploration initiatives. Established in 1914, the Croesus Mine has remained a focal point of Ontario's gold mining landscape. Its reputation for bonanza-grade gold production is substantiated by tangible artifacts, such as the five Croesus mine gold specimens housed in the esteemed Royal Ontario Museum. These specimens collectively weigh 85 pounds and contain 480.7 ounces of gold, boasting an impressive yield of 11,310 ounces gold per short ton. Adjacent to the Munro-Croesus property, significant multi-million ounce bulk tonnage gold deposits further underscore the region's geological wealth. Noteworthy projects include Fenn-Gib and Tower Gold, alongside the operational Black Fox underground gold mine. Historically, between 1915 and 1936, the Croesus Mine yielded 14,859 ounces of gold from 5,333 short tons, boasting an average grade of 2.78 ounces per ton gold. This production figure excludes ore directly shipped to the Royal Canadian Mint, emphasizing the mine's substantial contributions to the gold supply chain. As we reveal the exposed Croesus vein in the mine shaft captured in the photo, we're reminded of the grit and ingenuity that built its legacy. This snapshot of geological history isn't just about the past—it hints at exciting possibilities for future exploration. At Onyx Gold, we are constantly reminded of the legacy of the Croesus Mine—a symbol of Ontario's rich mining heritage and a catalyst for ongoing exploration endeavors. Cartier Resources Inc. (ECR-V): Cartier intersects 11.2 g/t Au over 2m on VG9 Target of the Chimo Mine Project, Québec Abitibi On August 15, 2024 Ressources Cartier Resources announced drill results from its ongoing drilling campaign on the Chimo Mine Project located ~45 km east of the well-endowed Val-d’Or gold mining camp. The current drill program is currently exploring 54 targets over half ( of the Chimo Project's gold discovery potential along a segment of the Larder Lake - Cadillac Fault Zone. Recall the Chimo Mine Project comprises the Chimo Mine and East Cadillac properties, the latter of which was acquired on April 7, 2022 (see: https://lnkd.in/eR3WC2Ec). Cartier began exploring this new area of the project in 2024 and both properties are 100% owned. New Zone: New high-grade gold mineralization is intersected within the Larder Lake - Cadillac Fault Zone to the NNW of the West Nordeau. Recall Chimo and West Nordeau are host to a 2.35 M oz. resources endowment that remains open at depth. Note that the Larder Lake - Cadillac Fault Zone is recognized over a 20 km strike length on the Chimo Mine Project and offers optionality and exposure to discovery. The new VG9 Target returned up to 11.2 g/t Au over 2m. The VG9 Target mineralization begins at surface and appears to vector along a NW plunge, confirming Cartier’s hypothesis of mineralized rakes. Additionally, this a new type of mineralization in sedimentary rocks which may host gold concentrations that are, for the Chimo Project, generally higher than those found in the volcanic rocks. Current drill results suggest depth extensions along a NW plunging rake. See end of: https://lnkd.in/emhKB64N https://lnkd.in/esxbv9wF #quebec #abitibi #chimo #drilling #gold

At Onyx Gold, we're unlocking the potential of Yukon’s highly prospective gold districts through innovative exploration. Our Yukon assets, including the Ra and Main Tut zones, are promising, showcasing multigenerational, gold-bearing sheeted quartz veins and high-density fracture sets. At Ra, previous drilling intersected 1.0 g/t Au over 21 meters, and surface samples have returned up to 20.1 g/t Au. Chip channel samples of the quartz veins in sericite-altered diorite reported an impressive 15.3 g/t Au over 3 meters. These veins are hosted within an exposed 3 km x 2 km intrusion, offering significant upside potential. Meanwhile, our Main Tut zone shows a gold-in-soil anomaly extending over a 3.4 km trend, with broad areas of high-density sheeted fracture sets within a prominent hornfelsed aureole. The strong presence of gold mineralization across our assets demonstrates that the Yukon’s hidden potential is waiting to be uncovered. Our exploration strategy targets the very same conditions that led to some of the Yukon’s most exciting recent discoveries, and we are just getting started. The geological makeup of the Tuzon deposit, which features over 53M tonnes of gold at 1.40 g/t in the Measured and Indicated category, consists of rocks that are high-grade metamorphic, and gold mineralization is interpreted to have taken place before peak metamorphism. Folding has caused repetition and thickening of the layer especially at Tuzon where it may be 100 m thick in the main fold hinge. Exploration is currently underway at Bukon Jedeh, a drill target in proximity to Tuzon and possibly an extension of the same type of geology. Check out this interesting post of my colleague Vítor Diniz Silveira ! It is also worthy of mentioning the importance of the Casquilho granite emplacement to the geometry, temperature, and the metamorphic gradient of the whole MTL Archaean Trend, specially for the orebodies. As the timing of the Casquilho granite emplacement was inbetween the Archaean first mineralisation and the Palaeoproterozoic Au scavenging, it dictated which mineral phases were stable where along the Trend and why (the rule of thumb is that temperature increases towards the granite). The granite also deflected B structures (as they were the closest to it), bending the horse-tail SE end along the strike. The Casquilho also acted as a shield against the Palaeoproterozoic strain for the orebodies closest to it (A, B, C, and D), unlike in Faina and in Pontal, where we can see the clear influence the ~2.0 Ga strain had upon. Stay tuned for the first paper (currently in prep.) of my PhD research to find out more about the MTL trend complex Au system! #JaguarMining #Au #Gold #Exploration
Check out this interesting sketch of the orogenic gold mineral system in the Pitangui greenstone belt, belonging to Jaguar Mining Inc. in Brazil. The geometry of the entire system is similar to a horse-tail where the main mines, Bodies A to D, are on the SE limit of the structure, close to the Casquilho granite. On the other edge, towards the NW, are the Pontal deposits, which have not yet come into operation, and there is still great potential for research and discoveries! The mineralization trend is Archean but is affected by a second Paleoproterozoic event in which gold particles were remobilized and reconcentrated through low-melting fluids rich in antimony. Each occurrence of gold happens in a different host rock, showing the complexity and magic that the mineral system possesses! “Rhyolite Ridge is an amazing deposit. There’s not another one like it in the world,” marvels Bernard Rowe, an exploration geologist and CEO of Australian mining company Ioneer. Rowe, 56, came to Nevada prospecting for gold and copper, and was struck by the Ridge, a volcanic rock outcrop in the southwest part of the state. He collected ore samples, which proved to have high concentrations of lithium and boron. The discovery prompted a call to his friend James Calaway, a Texan who had developed one of the world’s biggest lithium mines in Argentina. After due diligence, in 2017 they secured enough mineral rights in Nevada’s Esmeralda County to potentially produce more than 100,000 tons of lithium a year—enough to make batteries for billions of iPhones and millions of electric cars. Now they just need to start digging. Rhyolite Ridge is on federal land, requiring permits from the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management. But given China’s dominance in lithium (it refined 75% of the world’s 1 million tons of 2023 production), Calaway, Ioneer’s chairman, believed his project would be favored politically. After all, the U.S. currently produces just 7,000 tons annually. There was a complication: a six-inch-high desert wildflower with yellow blooms called Tiehm’s buckwheat (Eriogonum tiehmii). The heart of this rare perennial’s 900-acre range is right where Ioneer intended to mine. So the company worked with desert botanists, including researchers at the University of Nevada, to devise a plan to dig up and “translocate” thousands of plants to similar terrain nearby. “Our analysis showed that it should work,” Calaway says. The exploration team doing their best job. Along Swat river, local peoples use an old way to find emeralds. They collect leftover rocks tailings of talc schist from the emerald mining sites. These rocks might have emeralds in them. They wash the rocks and separate them to find the heavy ones. Then, they carefully check them by hand to find the emeralds. It's important to note that traditional emerald recovery methods can be labor-intensive and may not be as efficient as modern, mechanized mining techniques. However, for many communities along the Swat River, these traditional methods are a vital source of income and cultural heritage. display of Earth's geological treasures. #chinar_group_of_companies #Chinar_rock_sheet #chinar_mines_and_mineral_department #chinar_resort #we_believe_in_relationships #earth_explorer_club #earth_explorer_pvt_limited #Never_Stop_Exploring #WORK_for_NATION #work_for_country #Safety_first #mine_development #minerals #quartz #marble_mining #geologicalexploration #geological_mapping #greenemerald

While diligently working to acquire Bell Mountain, a fully permitted #gold and #silver project in #Nevada, we want to spotlight our larger Pine Grove gold project. Though not fully permitted yet, Pine Grove is in the final stages of permitting and we believe it holds untapped potential that we are eager to uncover soon. The Pine Grove district is mainly made up of a type of rock called Jurassic granodiorite, which has some interesting variations and alterations. The granodiorite rocks have intrusions (dikes and sills) of different compositions like andesite, dacite, and rhyolite. These are believed to be the sources of gold mineralization in the area. Native gold is found in small quartz veinlets, stockworks, and disseminations within the granodiorite. Where unoxidized, these veinlets contain minerals like pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, and native gold, along with elevated copper levels. The gold found here is typical of the "Shear Zone" subtype of Plutonic-Related Gold Quartz Veins and Veinlets. Pine Grove's PEA (2011, updated 2015) reports that significant exploration potential exists beyond current resources and recommends that infill and offset drilling be performed around the Wilson deposit, deep drilling in the Wheeler deposit, and expansion exploration drilling in known outlying anomalous intercepts. As funding becomes available, additional exploration drilling programs will be developed to potentially increase the size of the resource base. These programs will test numerous prospective areas of the Pine Grove property. An updated NI 43-101 technical report and an updated Pre-Feasibility report is also planned. Follow us to stay updated on our progress! #GoldMining #Mining #MiningIndustry #Nevada #Geology #WalkerLane #USA #LincolnGold #LincolnGoldMining #LMG #Investing #Investors #Investments #PreciousMetals
