[📢 Let's #breakfree from disposable plastics!] Have you ever thought that there is no real connection between the things you buy and disposable plastic🤔? Many of the "associations" we take for granted can actually be "broken free"! When you go to the supermarket to buy groceries, you don't necessarily have to use plastic bags, you can choose to use #ecofriendlybags instead. When you want to buy a cold drink during summer, you don't really need a plastic bottle or cup, you can bring your own #reusablecup instead. And when ordering takeout, you can bring your own #foodcontainer to pack the meal! #Plastic is second largest contributor to municipal solid waste. Among them, the 3 main types are plastic bags, plastic utensils, and plastic bottles. Joining forces with our ambassadors, including Chan Hoi-wan, Gigi Leung, Yvette Kong, Cheung Ka-long, Kam Sing Wong, as well as members of the Hong Kong Fencing Team Choi Chun-yin, Ng Lok-wang, Nicholas Edward Choi and Yeung Tsz-ka💪, we urge the public to "break free” from disposable plastics and contribute to environmental protection and biodiversity conservation🌍!

🌍 Today is International Plastic Bag Free Day! Globally, we use over 1 trillion plastic bags every year? That’s like wrapping the entire planet in a plastic blanket every few minutes. It’s shocking, right? 🐢 These bags don’t just disappear after we use them. They take centuries to break down, and in the meantime, they wreak havoc on our oceans and wildlife. Turtles mistake them for jellyfish, and seabirds get tangled up in them. They break down into tiny pieces that fish and other marine life end up eating. 🌊 The toxins from these bags then make their way up the food chain, ending up on our plates. It’s not just about litter; it’s about the health of our planet and ourselves. But we can all do something about it: 1️⃣ Bring Your Own Bag: Grab a reusable bag when you head out shopping. It’s an easy swap that can make a big difference. 2️⃣ Spread the Word: Share this post and let your friends and family know about the impact of plastic bags. Join me in raising awareness and making smarter choices for a cleaner future. Let’s ditch the plastic bags and show some love to our planet today and every day. 🌱💚 #PlasticBagFreeDay #ReducePlasticWaste #SaveOurPlanet #ProtectOurPlanet #PlasticFreeDay #SustainableLiving #JoinTheMovement

Can we survive without plastic bottles? We can survive with alternative products to reduce our reliance on them. You see, plastic pollution is threatening the very foundation of life. All forms of nature are in trouble because of that. So we must take action to reduce the usage of plastic bottles in our day-to-day lives to protect our environment. Here’s how: + Carry a reusable bottle + Take a reusable coffee cup + Avoid excessive food packaging + Carry reusable shopping bags + Choose products with minimal or no plastic packaging + Support businesses that prioritise sustainability + Educate others about the dangers of single-use plastics + Encourage them to make eco-friendly choices It's not merely about convenience or habit. it's about the legacy we leave behind for future generations. To save the future we introduced “RECYCLOBOT”. A reverse vending machine that can be set up anywhere, anytime. Want to know more about what we do? 🌍 New Study Reveals Impact: Plastic Bag Bans Save 6 Billion Bags a Year! 🛍️ Ever wondered if plastic bag bans make a difference? A groundbreaking study unveils their incredible success, saving a whopping 6 billion bags annually in some US states! 🌟 These bans, adopted by places with a total population of 12 million, could eliminate about 300 single-use plastic bags per person per year. That's a significant win for our environment! 🌿 Why support plastic bag bans? Beyond their unsightly presence, these bags harm sea life, endanger human health, and contribute to global warming. They persist for hundreds of years, releasing harmful microplastics. 🚫 The impact is tangible! New Jersey, Vermont, Philadelphia, Portland, and Santa Barbara's bans have led to a 1/3 reduction in plastic bag litter, saving bags that could circle the Earth 42 times! 🌐 Well-designed bans encourage eco-friendly alternatives, such as reusable bags, reducing waste and benefiting marine life. 🐢 Let's support robust plastic bag bans, closing loopholes and promoting sustainable practices. 🌎 Together, we can make a lasting impact! 💚 #PlasticBagBans #SustainableLiving #EnvironmentalImpact #PlaferaChallenge

🌍 Today is International Plastic Bag Free Day (or in German "Internationaler Plastiktütenfreier Tag")! 🌍 I’m excited to share how important environmental protection is to Germany and its people. Today, on International Plastic Bag Free Day, let’s celebrate some of the steps Germany has taken to reduce plastic waste: 1. No More Plastic Bags: Many stores in Germany have stopped giving out plastic bags to encourage the use of reusable ones. 2. Bottle or Coffee Cup Deposit System: Plastic bottles or some coffee cups in Germany come with a deposit (Pfand) that you get back when you return the bottle/cup. This encourages recycling and reduces waste. 3. Innovative Packaging: Many products are now available in biodegradable or reusable packaging. Tips to Reduce Plastic Waste: - Bring your own reusable bags when shopping. - Use refillable water bottles and coffee cups. - Choose products with minimal or eco-friendly packaging. - Support local markets that use sustainable practices. What about you? How do you reduce plastic waste in your daily life? Share your tips and let’s inspire each other to make a difference! 🌱💪 #PlasticBagFreeDay #sustainability #gogreen #reduceplasticwaste #germanygoesgreen #umweltschutz #Umweltfreundlich #germanlanguage #learngerman
