The sales call bombed. The opening was a jumble of words spoken in a panic that did nothing to create authority, let alone state the agenda for the sales call. The prospect on the call tried to rescue the situation and spent five minutes talking about their past - little help. As you guessed, the sale didn't progress. My client was doing the call, and I was reviewing it for improvements. Like many tech consultants, he has no formal sales training and is making his best effort. We came up with an approach that made the opening of the call work. And it involved these steps well before a word was spoken. It was a pre-call video. It has six elements; ✔️ Intro  ✔️ Context  ✔️ Help ✔️ Next steps  ✔️ Duration  ✔️ Closing Bottomline, 1st impressions count, and sending a video before the call establishes you as the authority and removes the awkward starts. Here is the framework that I use when it comes to building business systems (Outbound, product, making money) 1. Identify what the end objective is: Where do I want to be in what time frame? It is best that this is specific as possible, as it will make the next steps easier 2. What exactly is required to achieve this goal? (Make a list) Example: 5 new clients per month - A sales process that can close at 20% or higher - 25 appointments every single month 3. Now we break this down even further i) - A proven script - A solid pitch deck - A skilled sales rep ii) - A proven outbound process that converts at 1% (Appointment/Outreach) - 2,500 Outreaches/month 4. Now if you want you can break these down further, but as we have it now, we have 5 action items to complete What we should do now is i) Send 2,500 outreaches per month (could be 100 cold calls per day) ii) Iterate your script and improve your skill until you convert at 1% iii) Improve your sales skills till you convert at 20% and then build a script AND pitch deck for it iv) Teach someone else how to do what you just did Boom... Problem solved... Now it just takes the work like if this was helpful :)

How much is follow-up worth? 💰 A LOT. Most sales occur after... - 5th contact → 12% of sales - 8th contact → 80% of sales Amazing, right? But you can't just spam the same message 8 times. Here's what to do: 1) Add value in each message. 2) Stay relevant to the conversation. 3) Personalize your message. 4) Use open-ended questions. 5) Make it conversational. Sales is all about building relationships. Don't be scared to follow-up. It's where the money is.

During a telephone conversation, you don't just exchange words; you experience the full spectrum of human interaction. You can hear the tone of your partner's voice—their excitement, hesitation, or genuine enthusiasm. This authenticity is difficult to replicate via emails or messages. Moreover, telephone calls allow you to address problems immediately. There's no need for a back-and-forth email exchange when you can answer questions and provide solutions in real-time.
