Building on the successful reception of previous editions, Global Arbitration Review has published the sixth edition of The Guide to Damages in International Arbitration, edited by John Trenor. I am pleased to announce that I have contributed to this edition, together with my colleagues Counsel Sharmistha Chakrabarti and Counsel Max Stein, with an article titled, “Compensatory Damages Principles in Civil and Common Law Jurisdictions: Requirements, Underlying Principles and Limits.”
In this article, we discuss the requirements, underlying principles and limits of compensatory damages principles in civil and common law jurisdictions. By contributing to this issue, we hope to make the subject of damages in international arbitration more understandable, and to help participants present these issues more effectively before tribunals.
This article was first published in Global Arbitration Review in June 2024; for a more in-depth analysis, please see GAR The Guide to Damages in International Arbitration 2024: https://lnkd.in/e2ezsAsF
