Another day, another CSDDD postponement... ♻️ In other news, today, EFRAG published their update from February, which includes the meeting with the SRB and FRB and the discussion regarding MAIG, where members of the EFRAG FRB had the opportunity to share their feedback on the financial material-related content. I have had several conversations this week about the EFRAG Draft on MAIG and the anticipation of more information. As we have all experienced so far, we could use more clarification. At the SRB and FRB meeting, members highlighted the necessity of implementation guidance and underscored the importance of examples, with which I completely agree. However, no decisions were taken at the meeting. On 26th July, EFRAG unveiled 23 new explanations to enhance its Compilation of Technical Explanations. This #update supports #stakeholders in implementing #ESRS through the EFRAG ESRS Q&A Platform. The Public Interest Oversight Board | PIOB has recently released its quarterly oversight publications which provide valuable insights into how the PIOB identifies public interest issues and carries out its oversight work. The Briefing Memos, prepared by the PIOB oversight team, provide background on the SSB projects and offer commentary on relevant public interest issues, while the Observation Memos, prepared by PIOB observers, provide a summary of matters of public interest and due process in relation to the standards discussed during the SSBs meetings.
