✨ An inspiring journey - from EU candidate states, to member states, with the European Training Foundation and Cedefop. Happy 30 years to our friends from the ETF! 🥳
Today, our 30 years, 30+stories campaign triples! A journey through the ETF's work in countries that joined the EU, brought forward by Cedefop To mark three decades of impactful reform work, we share today three articles highlighting the ETF's role in supporting education and labour market reform in 13 former partner countries that are now proud and full members of the EU. The stories reflect on the ETF's work in the 1990s and 2000s, supporting countries from Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic States, South Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. They also highlight the excellent handover to our colleagues at Cedefop, who are now continuing these efforts as these countries are now part of the European Union. At the ETF, we continue to support candidate countries in their journey towards EU integration through education, labour market and human capital reforms. We look forward to sharing similar stories of progress and success in the years to come! 🔗 Read the articles and celebrate this journey with us! 🚀 Takeaways from “Financing #adultlearning: zooming in on #individualearningaccounts #ILA.” Our discussions focused on countries with complex and varied public financing arrangements for adult learning (such as Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria) with the aim to identify how individual learning accounts could fit in existing institutional set-up and ensure complementarity. 🔑 Key Findings: ☑️ In complex contexts, the process of finding the most appropriate place for ILAs involves two stages: 1️⃣ Stage one: consider the patterns of already existing financing arrangements, and 2️⃣ Stage two: identify the types of training/adult learning best supported by ILA schemes. 🔑 Other emerging findings highlight: a) the need to secure additional and sustainable public funding for ILA and adult learning; b) the importance of an enabling framework (#careerguidance, validation opportunities, paid training leave, registry of quality training provision, etc.) and related funding considerations, and c) the need for broad stakeholder involvement for successful ILA implementation. Thank you to the 230+ participants attending Cedefop’s virtual event. 🎉 Video recording & resources 👉 https://lnkd.in/dMuUMTdi
