🔔 New deal alert! 🔔 Our flagship Impact Fund, has made a further purchase, acquiring a last-mile multi-let industrial estate in Charlton, South East London, for £21 million. In line with our stringent #impact objectives, Orchard Street will upgrade the asset – which comprises 60,200 sq ft across nine units – through a programme of active asset management to #decarbonise the estate, significantly improve its #EPC ratings whilst also driving place-based needs social impact. Our Impact strategy remains active in targeting value-add real estate investment opportunities and we have significant capital to deploy across the UK in all sectors, with a focus on urban centres and lot sizes in the region of £8-25 million. To drive our exposure to the residential sector in particular, we are also pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Salvesen as a sector specialist advisor to the Fund. Duncan brings over 40 years’ of real estate experience, with a particular focus on residential, and will sit on the Investment Committee for the Fund as we continue to seek attractive opportunities that accelerate the property sector’s decarbonisation and generate sustainable returns for our investors.

This evening Bristol & Bath Regional Capital are delivering an event exploring how place-based impact investment can drive regional #growth. Stephen Peacock, CEO of the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, will be joined by other industry leaders to discuss opportunities for regional #investment. The Green Growth West Impact Fund was announced by Mayor Dan Norris in September to help drive the region’s green #economy, with an initial £10 million public investment to leverage £90 million more. Stephen will be discussing specific plans aligned with this fund alongside the opportunities it creates for #investors and West of England businesses alike. In total, the public and private investment from this fund is estimated to help to supply up to 36,000 homes with #renewable energy, delivered via BBRC’s place-based investor funding model.
