The Deloro project is accessible year-round by road, is located just 8 km south of Timmins, 7 km southwest of the Dome Mine-Mill Complex and less than 2 km from existing powerlines. Toubani Resources Ltd (ASX:TRE) has struck a broad intersection of #OxideGold in resource definition drilling at the Kobada Gold Project in southern Mali, unearthing 71 metres at 1.86 g/t #gold from 79 metres of depth. The resource definition drilling is designed to expand and upgrade the Kobada mineral resource estimate, which currently stands at 2.4 million ounces of gold over a 4.5-kilometre strike and this is mostly oxide mineralisation amenable to open-pit mining. Results from this round of drilling will be used in a second-quarter resource upgrade, which will underpin ore reserve studies to be completed as part of a definitive feasibility study update for the project. You know what this lady likes? Exploration. Don't get me wrong, it's been so enriching to learn about actual mining but, 17 years in exploration is not something you can shake off so easily! So with that little preamble, I'm excited to announce that Orezone Gold Corporation is initiating a 30,000m discovery focused drill program at its Bomboré #Gold Mine in Burkina Faso. What excites me (and the whole team) is the potential to find higher grade centers of mineralization at-depth beneath the reserve pits. Keep in mind that the average depth of those pits are only ~38m with the average depth of drilling across the 14km mineralized trend only ~200m. East Star Resources Plc (LSE:EST) has announced high-grade findings from its drill programme at the Verkhuba copper deposit, in Kazakhstan. The results indicate promising potential for open pit mining development, the company highlighted. In an update, it reported notable intersections of mineralisation, including a high-grade copper equivalent (CuEq) measuring up to 2.45%. The company noted that the results demonstrate the presence of substantial copper-rich ore at mineable depths. Also, zinc and silver were identified in some intersections, and there's potential for gold, which could enhance the deposit's value. "We are delighted with the results of high-grade assays from our recent Verkhuba drilling campaign,” chief executive Alex Walker said. “We can now definitively demonstrate that the Verkhuba Deposit has multiple copper-rich ore grade intervals at mineable depths. Angola’s Luele Mine, the largest diamond mine in the country – has started operations, with President João Lourenço inaugurating the project this week. Operated in partnership with Angolan state firm Endima, Falcon, Reform and the Geological Institute of Angola – the 600m deep mine is expected to double Angola’s diamond production. Comprising 647 million tons of ore reserves, the project is anticipated to yield 628 million carats over its 60-year lifespan, with annual production set to rise from the trial phase’s 5 million carats to 6 million carats. Annual export revenue from the project is expected at $60 million during the initial phase of the mine. A fact sheet by the mines ministry stated a slightly lower number for exploration at $643.5 million in 2023 but agreed that exploration expenditures fell from their 2022 high. Industry groups have previously warned that while there are 17 proposed critical mineral mines in B.C., delays in getting them approved could lead to companies focusing on countries with smaller regulatory burdens such as China and Russia. They are also concerned about the lack of new funding in B.C.’s long-awaited critical minerals strategy, which was released in January, and the NDP’s reluctance to include industry in consultations on the new Mineral Tenure Act currently under development. Kodal Minerals plc (AIM:KOD) said initial drilling assay results at the Boumou prospect at the Bougouni Lithium Project in Mali had confirmed high-grade and wide extensions to the original resource estimate. Results included 52m at 1.51% lithium (Li2O) from a depth of 175m in one hole and 66m at 1.26% Li2O from 72m in another. Assays from additional reverse circulation and diamond drill holes are pending. The strike length of the Boumou prospect pegmatite bodies has now increased to 970m and remains open, Kodal added. Titan Minerals Ltd (ASX:TTM) (OTC:TTTNF) is confident of expanding the current mineral resource inventory at the Dynasty Gold Project in southern Ecuador by drill testing 9 kilometres of continuous epithermal #gold corridor, more than half of which has had no drilling at all. The project holds a resource of 3.1 million ounces of gold and 22 million ounces of silver but TTM believes there is “excellent” potential to sizeably increase the resource via exploration of this target area, which was recently further validated by soil geochemical signatures. Titan also anticipates executing a joint venture earn-in agreement with Hancock Prospecting subsidiary Hanrine Ecuadorian Exploration and Mining S.A in late July this year, with exploration activities to begin on the Linderos #Copper Project late in the current quarter.
