Hiring managers don't look for people who talk about doing it. They look for people who have done it. Healthcare is a massive industry. In the US, we spend $4.3 trillion per year, or 18.3% of our national GDP. However, the landscape of health IT solutions is relatively small. Epic, Cerner, McKesson, Athena -- these players have cornered the US healthcare market. Becker's Health reports that 96% of US hospitals have adopted an accredited EMR system. If you have experience working on EMR implementations or optimization, you're in a great position to build your career. Experience is *the* top factor when recruiters and hiring managers source candidates for project team members. Remember to: 1) Keep your LinkedIn profile up to date.  2) Highlight your roles on projects within your profile.  3) Include specific certifications related to technical experience. 4) Describe incremental increases in your responsibilities across projects. It's been 7.5 months since my contract ended. I have been searching tirelessly for a new role (full time remote would be ideal but a contract role is worth a discussion). I know one great role is around the corner! I would appreciate a boost from my #network I’m not asking anyone to hire me just because. Some company is going to get a valuable resource who is ready to take action in positive ways, from day one. Specifically: * 18 years of Electronic medical records implementation, training and optimization experience  * Deep understanding of ambulatory workflows and best practices, especially for providers. * Great knowledge of curriculum development. * Demonstrated ability to form great relationships with clients so that projects move forward efficiently   * Extensive experience in project management professionally and on a volunteer basis  * Imagination and motivation to take the data generated by documenting patient care electronically and turn it into actionable items that make organizations better I am at my best when researching, managing and mentoring. My years as a technical trainer provided many opportunities to demonstrate flexibility and quick thinking. I am adept at adjusting based on what the company/client needs. While the majority of my experience has been in the healthcare arena, I am confident that my skills and motivation can be beneficial in other industries as well.
