Happy Black August!! "Black August as a time designated to commemorate and honor “the freedom fighters, especially those inside the walls of our sprawling prison-industrial complex, who, with their vision, tenacity, and deep love for our communities, are leading us toward the horizon of abolition.”" Learn more about Black August and it's importance down below

We welcome the Metropolitan Police's recognition of the need to rebuild trust with the Black community that has repeatedly been failed by the police. Change needs to, however, begin with a top-down acceptance of institutional racism. Amid the Met Police's announcement, we reiterate our asks for them to accept the findings of the Casey Report, publish data disaggregated by protected characteristics, and institute safe reporting mechanisms such as a firewall to instil trust among migrant victim-survivors. Measurable outcomes with a focus on intersectional needs must also be delineated for the Met Police for which it must be publicly held to account by independent oversight bodies. https://lnkd.in/gw79HcYY

Author & Anti-Racist Content Creator grounded in Higher Education Equity, Democracy, NonViolence and NonStealing. I imagine a USA where race no longer predicts outcomes.
🎯 Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott Nails IT! 🎯 The assault on DEI is really an assault on ➡ D Duly ➡ E Elected ➡ I Incumbents - (Black people and "others" who exercise their rightful place in a democratic republic to represent the people) and, by extension, the right of any Black person to enjoy the rights and privileges of citizenship in an aspirational United States of America where race no longer predicts outcomes. Blackness (which doesn't know its place) triggers whiteness since whiteness presumes a plantation white entitlement to control the location of its property. This is the 🌟 Presumption of Whereabouts Authority 🌟 as I teach in #12swa Twelve Steps for White America. PWA illustrates a commodification of Blackness as a means to sustain the profit of rigged advantage. (Think carceral state from fugitive slave patrols to for-profit prisons, Karens, and minority rule including electoral college, senate, SCOTUS). To the colonized and conditioned white mind, when this happens, it triggers a threat to the existence of whiteness itself, since whiteness was and remains a colonial American construction (an inclusion-collusion-delusion) to sustain rigged advantage, which can only persist through white supremacy and anti-Blackness. 🙏🏼 Mayor Scott's teaching here can lead to truth reconciliation and renewal. White America (including white Americans) needs to work a program of recovery for a USA where race no longer predicts outcomes. #democracy #highereducation #diversity #DEI Three-Fifths Magazine Marjorie A. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott hit back at the racist right wing attacks against him following the Key Bridge collapse for “having the nerve to be Black and also a mayor.” “What they mean by DEI, in my opinion, is duly elected incumbent.” 🔥🔥🔥 Mayor Scott did not mince any words and I’m here for it ✊🏾

A serious call to society to wake up: Today, we live in a globally connected world where racial behavior is not just a matter for individuals in specific countries. No matter where you live, if you witness such behavior, raise your voice. Raising your voice is proof that you are alive and your soul is not dead beneath the influence of political leaders. #Imalive against of #racism are you? share in your network with #Imalive
An everyday scene in London. White officers with no lived experience of Black communities policing an area like Brixton, and we wonder why things go wrong. Watch as this Black contractor and his employees are racially profiled and harassed in Lambeth. The sad truth is I believe that police-community relations are now so bad (worst in recorded history according to the Gov trust and confidence stats) that unless someone wakes up and smells the institutionally racist coffee, we’re heading for a repeat of 1981.

The information provided by the DOJ is incredibly insightful. The governments perspective of Black people is blatant, audacious, and utterly egregious. God's people are not commodities of the state or the government's domestic service animals. Black people are enslaved to create government jobs. Children are stolen for lineage incorporation, depriving a people of their lives and obligating the lives of their children generation after generation. Reproduction, family, life, liberty, and property are controlled. The US department of JUSTICE believes the main goals of the BLACK LIBERATION ARMY is to kill police and financial EXTORTION. Why is it not that the purpose of the group is to liberate and uplift black people? People that are treated as less than animals in the land of the free? The US doesn't hold the same perspective of the People's Liberation Army of China. May God be with the governing powers of the world. To have power is to have the authority and ability to act. https://lnkd.in/gM3BTndW

Very distressing and disturbing actions by the Met… Professionally qualified individuals attending to a daily activity, that is performed by millions of other citizens. They are being profiled due to the possibility they may be about to commit a crime… To state the alleged stop and search by these officers is laughable is a understatement. There are hundreds of working individuals carring tools via public transport everyday who could easily be classified the same under this ambiguous way to create an encounter. Surely this is not the way these police officers are taught to attend to crime prevention - guilty by assumption - surely not! Most firefighters carry on their person in the course of their daily tasks, instruments which can be considered dangerous and unlawful if stopped by the police. But common sense prevails, or is it privilege, being a fellow emergency service? These young men are loff to work and clearly identifiable in the nature of work they are performing. There’s been not alters to the general public of individuals posing as electricians and being a danger to public safety of late. Most electricians have cutters and strippers which allows the cutting and stripping of cables - such as armoured cabling to be easily performed. Moreover, without these items, it would be near on impossible to do many of the tasks we the public appreciate so highly by electricians. At no time are the individuals informed by the police that a report had be received of threatening behaviour by anyone of the detained employees or a stanley knife was seen being brandished publicly. If so, then the officer(s) may have a case of the unwarranted stop and search of these law abiding citizens. This is a very disturbing course of action by the Met targeting working civilians. More so, for us, who travel to work and perform our daily tasks in the professional manner asked. Remember one thing… you could be next.

🖤✊🏾 Black History Month Spotlight: Preventing Juvenile Delinquency 📚🔒 Angela Davis once powerfully remarked, "When children attend schools that place a greater value on discipline and security than on knowledge and intellectual development, they are attending prep schools for prison." This Black History Month, let's reflect on these words and the urgent need to break the cycle of juvenile delinquency in our communities. 👦🏿👧🏾 Our children deserve schools that nurture their minds and spirits, not institutions that feed into the pipeline to prison. By prioritizing education, mentorship, and support over punishment, we can pave a brighter path for generations to come. 💡🌱 Let's commit to investing in programs and initiatives that uplift our youth, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. Together, we can dismantle systemic barriers and build a future where every child has the chance to reach their full potential. #BlackHistoryMonth #JuvenileJustice #EducationForAll 🌟

The way black people used to fight racism, oppression, divide and conquer, colorism, now we fight with our vote while still fighting injustice, institutionalized racism, black against blacks in politics, along with the world which stands against lawlessness, corrupt legal systems, super racist, the deceived and pacified in black culture, emasculation of the Black man by black women seeking to define and dominate black men while faithful black women fight for traditional values, spiritual truth, in the home, and by using our young, gifted, information age genius among black youth to set an example of the values of blacks in all areas of business and education to advance black culture with our knowledge, modern technological contribution to world society, while showing our advanced black civilization is still on the Biblical path that the Black Church was founded on in the midst of our modern history reaching back to the homeland Africa, gone forward from the Emancipation and freedom, through the battles and victories won in the civil rights movement, and this age where we know what it is to live within a society that believes and practices the truth found in the wisdom of freedom.
